I am out the 12th. Sorry bro. I got called out of town. Thaaaaaat,,,blows. Above is the exact message and his response from the 25th. From Trapper... " Wow lotta coments on here, Ok this sucks but I figured since you guys had been doing all the talking back and forth that ya'll knew , then when my wife came up and said I think tom doesnt know that steve isnt pulling I was like ohhhhh craptt, She said well ya better go over and tell him so I did, and when I walked over I for IDK why but I said that I had just found out this morning,,,,, It was stupid and wrong and I appologize, I cant take it back - I just for some reason thought he was gonna be mad at me and I panicked and it all just kinda spilled out as a lie." Nobody is mad. . Just wanted to know where the disconnect was.

If I had to Guess Steven Is Full of it!!!!! I don't agree with you Dave. Steven sent the message from the 25th and showed it for everyone to see on FB. I'm thinking a couple apologies are owed or an explanation why Tom wasn't told 3 weeks ago the match was canceled by the guy who set it up. Thanks for being a stand up guy Steven.

I told the event promoter (who organized the match) that plans had changed on June 25th. It's seems you have bad info Todd. There's no doubt there is some bad info floating around. Figuring out who's giving it though is the problem. Talked to Trapper again last night and he said he wasn't told that. Yet he didn't reply on the FB post either to confirm/deny your story. Someone isn't being upfront. Just trying to decide who.

No call no show from Steven. He called 15 minutes before the start of the tourny.
Per Trapper, "Steven called and said something came up. Not gonna make it"
If something came up and it's a 4.5-5 hour drive from KC wouldn't he have called this morning. He would have had to be on the road by 8. Or a call This afternoon even? Why wait until 2:45 when the match is at 3?
I understand when things come up.. But no notice?

No way anyone (but the referee) can say for sure if he was pinned. I do know that the referee was in the correct position to make the call and he was the closest of anyone. As Kyle said angle is everything and the shot was obstructed on top of that bad angle. Any results to be posted yet?

My point was my right sucks, and I was worn out, so beating me isn't much to grade a guy on. Beating my right when I'm fresh didn't mean much then, and still doesn't...LOL. I know he's a good puller, and I know how good Green is. Very tough to call. I always thought you looked pretty solid.

Thats Shawn Lattimer. And beating my right after a super match with Nick Zinna doesn't really mean too much. I was worthless at that point. That being said, I have no clue who will win. My apologies Shawn,, I fat fingered that one. Not taking anything away from you, but He also pulled Doug in a super match before hand and pulled TWO classes. I don't know how much it took out of you, but Doug beat Tom, lost to Steven, Tom beat Steven, Tom won the bracket. Tom won the heavy class too. Either way.. that was several years ago. Nobody is even the same after a few months let alone a few years.

Here's my opinion on it.
Most people don't even know who Tom Dixon is. He hasn't pulled for 2 years. He hasn't been training. He pulled his first tourny in MN 2 months ago since his last tournament and the best puller there was Andrew B.
When he was pulling regularly he was very young and did do well. Finishing 3rd in the men's 220 class at nationals at age 16. He placed 6th R and 10th L at worlds in the junior heavy class. (the kid who won the class was 320lbs) He took a year off. In 2008 Finished 5th in the mens 242 class (Entered with a weight of 223 fully clothed) Then finished 2nd R and 5th L in the juniors open weight class. The russion that beat him was about 45lbs heavier. Since Worlds at Canada he hasn't done much. Pulled a couple Toproll events getting crushed by Doug Allen in a super match in 2010 but coming back to place ahead of him in the tourny winning the 242 and heavy right over Shane Lattimer.
Steven Has been pulling and working hard, got a national championship, hase RECENT wins on guys like Eric Brown and is going to go do some work in Vegas. He has been much more consitent in pulling and working out.
So even though I have to go with my brother.. I give the edge to Steven. Everything shows he's been working hard and competing. So if Tom beats Steven it will be a suprising upset and if there is an upset to be had.. Tom is the one to be able to do that. Essentially Tom is a nobody to most people. Steven is a competitive puller.
Logically there is not much to argue for Tom and Steven takes this.. but there also are not enough recent matches from Tom for anyone to compare. Andrew B is the only person to have pulled him recently that can positivly say how strong Tom feels and compare to the guys Steven has pulled too.

Great event, it was nice to see such a good turnout. I might have to start practicing or hitting the gym. I haven't pulled anyone for over 2 years.
I'm glad to see Tom out pulling again and hope he will keep pulling since this was also his first time back pulling in over 2 years with no practice in between.
Met lots of nice people. Thanks again to everyone for putting on a good event.

That's pretty solid. It works around here that same way with the local street scene. There is a top 10 list floating around. If you aren't on the list you HAVE to call out one of the BOTTOM 3, so that the #10 guy isn't getting called out all the time. You can't just say hey I want to run the #4 guy when you aren't even on the list.
If the guy holding the spot refuses then he loses the spot. There is a certain time limit on accepting the challenge too. 2 weeks without defending your spot when called out you lose your spot.
Too simple, but with travel and schedules you can't fly somewhere without prior notice and expect someone to drop their plans to accept a challenge. Family vacations, celebrations, holidays, work, etc all can come up and throw a wrench in the arm wrestling plans..

Artem Klimenko win WAF at 16 with both hands.. I think Artem trumps everyone in this discussion. You mean the senior class , correct? So how does the steroid use play into this whole thing of him being good when he was a youth? At worlds in Bulgaria there was a kid from Poland that told us he was 13 and pointed to his massive arm and said in broken english "this drugs, very good" he was friggin huge and finished second. I don't think that makes him a great youth puller I think it makes steroids great to make unbeatable youth pullers..
