Check out the thread for the Heavy Duty Armwrestling table in the classifieds section. I am moving and need to get rid of the table. It is the most durable table I have ever pulled on. The padded skirt makes it comfortable to use. Call or text if you are interested. I'm located in south central Kentucky. 606-219-6371

This table is still for sale. It is about 2 inches wider than WAF standards. The frame was built to specs, but I didn't account for the radius in the corners. It can at least be the best practice table ever. If anyone is interested, call or text 606-219-6371. I am flexible with the price. My wife would like it out of the basement.

The table has been used only a few times and is in excellent condition. I am located in South Central Kentucky, but can work with you on delivery. I'd be willing to drive up to 150 miles if you paid my gas. The frame is constructed of 2" X 2" steel with a plywood top. Pads can be switched from right to left. If you are interested send me an email. somerbuys@windstream.net

Logged in for the first time in 6 months. I was so impressed by the way this thread has gone. I was expecting the usual "newbie trash talking the accomplished veteran and then playing the no respect card"; however, it was anything but. I wish you the best Josh in your super match. Rob and John had great, encouraging posts as well.

The two that I've seen make adjustments mid tournament and beat top level competition with technique (finding a weakness in their opponent) are: Bill Logsdon and Corey Miller.

Ron, can you see if Corey Ruiz would pull Bill Brown in a best of 3? That is of course if you have room for one more challenge match?

Storm Chellino beat Logsdon outside. That impressed me, so I asked what he does to exercise his wrists and he says "nothing, I have done some farm and construction work". So, I'm thinking "what the heck?" and then he says he's only 21 and usually pulls 187lbs. To top it off, he is a really likable guy. On the ride home, the only word that kept popping in my head was "Storm". I'm definitely a fan!

Committee is overrated, Josh does a fine job. If you notice, he always has a reason for where he ranks pullers. He is also open to criticism. Most of the time, the puller questioning their ranking has a flimsy argument.
On a side note: I will say that Jerry Cadorette has a strong case for remaining #1.

I have followed the board for almost 4 years and there is a difference. The disrespectful or filthy talk occurs on all forums. The reason it shouldn't occur here is because this board was once unique in that as a fan we could watch a match on Arm TV and then read posts from the actual competitors, giving their perspective. I can still remember one time reading a post about John Brzenk and then a post popped up from the man himself. It's also too bad Engin is gone as well. I'd say the reason a lot of top pullers haven't stuck around is because 99% of posts have been written with very little intelligence/ insight or have nothing to do with arm wrestling at all. One positive change has been moving the "Happy Birthday" posts to off-topic. Thanks Bill.

I've not been on the board much lately, but there always seems to be a common thread that pops up from time to time: Growing the Sport of Armwrestling. There have been lots of great ideas proposed, but in the end the only thing that will actually "grow" the sport is bringing in more money. Most of the proposed ideas are actually just different ways of spreading the existing money around. What I have seen is that most small promoters don't even seek out sponsorship other than a host site. Then they expect entry fees to cover everything and often don't even give out prize money. This is not going to "grow" the sport.
The unique challenge with armwrestling is that it is not a spectator sport and certainly isn't one that entices everyone to participate.
If we want to "grow" the sport we have to find Big Name Sponsors and then find a way to get them a return on investment. i.e. Over the Top movie.
The other option, which is much slower is to keep inviting guys/gals to our local practices and tourneys. (relationship building)
One idea that I have thought of was for someone to develop a really good clothing brand that would also appeal to non armwrestlers. Fox clothing was designed for Motocross, but I've seen all kinds of kids wearing their brand. I really liked Don Underwood's Toproll brand, but he stopped before I could order anything. Maybe he could offer a preorder for anyone who was interested and this would help him get his brand up and running? I'm sure if he could guarantee a certain percentage of profits went back into the sport, it couldn't hurt his sales. Just a few of my thoughts.

Somerset? That's hilarious! What kind of work does Ryan do? We are a pretty small town, it's kind of funny that you specifically mentioned Somerset. We try to practice on Sunday afternoons, but could throw one together virtually anytime. It would be a good excuse to get Max to show up too. Just send a PM with details if you want to meet up. My mom and sister are pretty stout armwrestlers themselves and would be willing to pull with you.

So am I reading this right? Dave sent an email to the promoter intended to sabotage the event because Jonathan said he "stole the event" from Bill Collins on this message board? Then he comes on here feeling as though he did something honorable? Fail
Jonathan, If you can learn from your mistakes in this whole debacle, then you have received a valuable thing. Otherwise, you will have just endured for naught.
Josh, Nice. You seem like a great mediator.

I think it's really cool that Tim is willing to travel to a relatively unknown armwrestler's hometown to give him a shot, especially considering that he has nothing to gain. This kind of thing is very helpful for promoters. I am planning on coming to this tournament. I need something to replace my performance at KY Muscle as my most recent armwrestling memory.

Mike West. I've never seen Ryan Thames pull before, but I have seen Mike pull at least 60 times. The only people I have seen beat him at 198 are Brent Rakers, Scott Ballinger, Cobra Rhodes, Steve Rau, Bill Logsdon, basically top 10 pullers. So does that put me at #11 That sounds about right, I'm talking Nationally.
