Sol... your computer won't spell "Lamthingy"? Maybe I'm off track... My 2 cents... I don't believe there is anyone that could touch Vika... not Dot... not Liane... there was a gal from Turkey who was unbelievable and just as fierce a few years back, but I don't think she's around any longer. (Can't think of her name right now, maybe Engin would know)... I'm wondering though, about Joyce King beating Dot? Don't get me wrong... I like Dot, but there are a few more gals out there who are TRUE armwrestlers who I believe at this point in time would take Dot down- ei: Joyce King (with strength), Nicole Cisco (with strength & unbelievable technique) and perhaps myself if I kicked her under the table before the match started!  j/k I'm looking forward to the rematch between Joyce & Nicole in Vegas... since I cannot budge either of them at the table! Equal strength now...  as I said...just my 2 cents...  oh my gosh! I just previewed my post and my computer won't spell Lamthingy either!!! L A M P O O N ! (woohoo, I did it!) ;D |

Elanie. That is the word that i have been trying to spell!!! This computer will not spell the last letters of the word..I am serious! I will type the word you just spelled, EXACTLY like you did..Here we go...Lamthingy!!! right now, as i am reading my post prior to sending it, The word is spelled right! but now when i send it i will see what it is spelled like..
Now about the Supermatch with these ladies! I have much respect for the women you said..(You Rock Elaine) Nicole Cisco, Joyce King, BUT, I dont see them really being able to beat Dot..Vika, since i have never seen her pull, I can only go from the pullers comments, and I am not sure that Either one could win... But i would have to go with Dot Jones. I dont think on the womens side, that we have ever had a Championship Run like Dot had for about what 10yrs? Now while there are always people that could have beat some current puller, it doesnt really matter, Because, you Ladies are RIGHT now THE BEST in the WORLD, and that is what really matters. Until these other ladies try taking you all on now, then it is all speculation. I love Nicole (ooh! i let the cat out of the bag!..LOL) and I see her working hard to be the best..So Joyce had better be not sitting around!
P.S Thanks Elaine for spelling..The WORD for me!!!

Oh, Sol, Sol, Sol... I'm still going to go with Joyce or Nicole taking Dot to the pad... seriously. I have had to "pull" Dot during Yukon Jack days and I remember her hook up, her grip, etc. I honestly believe that these two would unseat her. I do, however, understand your loyalty to a "Western" puller, and one who's been around for many years... but I will respectfully have to disagree with you on this one... perhaps we'll have to make a bet on it... on the "word" thing... what in the world is wrong with the word l a m p o o n that the computer didn't want to spell it? I have had it change the word b i t c h to the pregnant dog thing... which is understandable, but the other? Totally wierd and funny at the same time! I, just like Charlie, got a good laugh out of it!  See you in Vegas!  |

so you had the chance to pull her? I remember when in the 80's in petaluma she has won again, and we were in San Francisco eating and a Former Heavyweight champion ..Jeremiah Christian came up to Dot and put his hand on the table for Dot to set up with him.. He said well you wouldnt have a chance against Pam Carter..( another Legendary puller?) I thought it was Rude and disrespectful for him to say that when Dot would have no trouble with Pam. I would love to try and make one of these matches happen, I know Joyce has a lot of respect for Dot, as does Nicole, But do they feel they would give her a good. competitive match? also, if Dot did not train for them, that would be a huge difference.. she has been out of the sport for awhile, and these ladies are pretty much at the top of their Game..

Yes, Sol... back in 1993 at the Yukon finals... I did ask her "not to hurt me" prior to the match... she was 12 inches taller than me and 100 lbs. heavier... hmmm.  Dot was probably at the top of her game in the 80's when she was pulling Petaluma... no competition for her in the early 90's and now... Vika would crush anyone and Joyce and Nicole would take her down- I really believe that... truly do... sure, they are training, as a true armwrestler would. How much real training did Dot do, say, during the Yukon Jack days? I think she is just naturally strong and that's what she pulled with. But, put her up against strength and unbelievable technique? I'll put my money against Dot. No disrespect intended. Just my 2 cents... check your email, sol... |

Did Vika really train? or was she Naturally strong? have you heard that VIKA may pull again? I bet all the Ladie Pullers are getting stoked about Vegas! This very well could be the best womens classes EVER!! This will be awesome..

Great topic, I have to say that no woman at this time could beat Dot. When I was in Springfeild for the Worlds, I pulled Vika for a little bit and granted she is amazing, but I could still beat her. Yea she may have had a few tough matches but I was pulling just as hard too.
4-5 months prior, I was in Venice Beach Ca. having a practice a low and behold guess who walks by....Dot Jones. She came over to the tables of course and pulled with us for a little bit and she took me like I was a little girl (yes I am man enough to admit it). Vika and Dot are not even comparable in my book. Dot is from the same planet as Engin and John Brzenk.
I would still come to see a Supermatch of trhe 2 but my pick is Dot by far.

Harold, Thanks for your input, you see i feel the same way, she is indeed from the same Planet as John and Engin! She may not have trained like a DEDICATED puller would, but who would train hard..If they didnt have to? So she really could have put YOU down? Now i think you are just being nice! LOL
yes Harold...You see when i type these two words together..(lamp) and (thingy) to complete the word... It comes out on the board as Lamthingy..watch...National Lamthingy Vacation..Staring Chevy Chase!! This is strange!

Vika is not only naturally strong. When I spoke to her in Bulgaria 2001 she said that she had been training with weights for 10 years, 6 days a week, 2 hours a day.
Wish I could say the same about my training...

Elaine,the Turkish girl that you are talking about is not a real armwrestler.i believe that she is a world championship with weight lifting.her name is Nurcihan, i remember that you couldnt believe that she was a female.i also remember that she caused you some pain after you both shook hands ;Di will confess something but please dont be mad at me.in 2000 virginia worlds you shook my hand so hard and hurt me.in fact you always hurt my hand whenever we see eachother and shake hands.you have a strong hand.and i never shake hand hard.so after you hurt my hand i told nurcihan that im going to introduce her with you.and i ask her to squeeze your hand.i remember the red colour on your face when you both shook hands.please forgive me for this mean power test that i did between you two:) Elaine,in 2003 europeans she has lost with both arm to the russians.but same girl told her (she can speak well bulgarian and some russian)that she also beat gabakova in russia.im not sure if its true or not but gabakova hasnt been part of russian team as far as i know.and that Turkish girl knows nothing about armwrestling,she is just damn strong.once again im sorry about your hand  |
