Hi Malin, Got your message , I will try to get that to you soon Engin- I hope you are just teasing , discouraging words for women pullers, I'm no champion but I love the sport. I agree there are big differences on all levels between men and women's armwrestling but I would not be so quick to discount their efforts. Instead with your expertise, perhaps you could enlighten us with new ideas (training , techniques) etc. that help break down these barriers .Any positive advice would be greatly appreciated. Cindy

Dear Malin, Here is my profile : When were you born (dates, or only year if you want): 12.06.1974 e-mail (if you want): catcapuzzi@hotmail.com or zmoosfamily@bluewin.ch website (if you have one, or want to recommend one): czmoos.proboards39.com/Country: Switzerland City: Neuchâtel Merits: Swiss Champion 2004, many international competitions. Weight class (in kg please):usually -70kg How did you start with armwrestling, when and why? In 1993, I was watching a competition and a friend paid the entry fee for me. When the called me at the table... I didn't have any choice, I had to participate.. I've never stopped since that day. How do you train? 2-3 times/week Gym club and table practice with the guys. Are you in some other sports too, have been? I've practice a lot of athletics when I was a teenager. Ski and volley-ball. What is most important to be a good armwrestler? Train a lot even if it does hurt, don't give up. Your best training advice to become a better armwrestler? Train with the guys. The thoughest opponent in your oppinion, and why is she the best do you think? Right now my thoughest opponent is Annarella Brevi from Italy. The only reason that I can't beat her is the crazy size of her hand. Your favourite female-armwrestler in the world, and why? None, I respect every girl in this sport, whatever the weigh class. What do you do when you don´t armwrestle? Take care of my family. The best moment for you as an armwrestler? When I've won the Over the Top in Germany in 1995. That was great. Name 2 female armwrestlers that it would be fun to see in a match together, and why? Me and you ?! We haven't met. Have you armwrestle a man before and won, if so how did he take it? Yes, many times but the guys takes it sometimes in a bad way... How have you been taken when you tell people that you are an armwrestler? Some are surprised some respect il... but I don't listen to the critics... Misc (you can write your thoughts, or what ever you want to have said, here): I've broken my right arm during a final in 1993. I've stopped 6 months and started again. Armwrestling has been a big part of my life since I'm 19 and I'll never regret it. Because of armwrestling I've met many good friends, my husband and I've travelled all around Europe. I hope to meet more and more girls in this sport in the future.

Hey Engin, Here is a funny story. We had a tournament here in Florida and I was having fun with the ladies class (Teasing and such) As I was the director I had the microphone! Well a couple of them got together and grabbed me and were very capable of throwing me in the bay. If it wasn't for their compassion with my 10 year old watching I would have been swimming with the fish! ;D
I love watching Nicole and Renee B get up there. It is always a great match. I also love watching Beth W go from fun loving to fierce competitor in about three seconds!(As soon as her name is called) I would say that other than the strength difference given to men by God the matches all have the same skill levels and are just as entertaining. As a matter of fact after reffing a match wiith Elaine Blick I walked over and asked her for tips on improving my hit! She hits like Tyson!

Thanks Chris ------
BTW -- we have not forgotten the comments -- we are just waiting on the perfect oppertunity to "toss" you into a lake, a pool or whatever.. hehe
So be looking over your shoulder -- haha..
on a serious note-- thanks -- really.... We ladies work hard at our sport --
Engin even though you say you were teasing earlier- I truly feel that you meant at least some of what you said -- and that does hurt. There is some real talent out there -- perhaps the numbers are not as high as the men -- but we have some phenominal female promoters and others working on getting more women involved-- the future is a bright one in this sport for the MEN and the WOMEN...
Hugs, Nicole

I agree Nicole. If you notice(I know you did because you won!) I offered the same amount in my points contest last year for men and women. I have to say that I have gone into tournaments anticipating a certain match between two women on more than one occasion. If more would get involved it would be a great thing! I think we just recruited Kelly Wintz's wife! We will see. One more thing...you never see them fighting amongst each other like you do with the men. We fight like a bunch of girls!
