Hey TK , I believe we have a friend in common .. Russell Francis. I think he's been over your way and pulled a little with you guys?
We're gonna be there Sat too .. 1st show for me. I wish there was a left class in the novice as well.
Hey James Battles .... my name is Tim Parker and went to school at CBHS with your brother Sam. I graduated 1981.
I was a very little guy then (88lbs 9th - 142lbs 12th grade) anyway, I remember that Sam was into arm wrestling even back then ... and he was one of my 1st influences for me enjoying working out .. I remember seeing him do something in the gym that NOBODY else ever did .. he would stand there with dumbbells in ea. hand and just twist them back and forth (like an inverted propellor), I guess I understand why now. LOL He always looked very strong ... he was quiet (from what I remember) but was very respected and no one ever messed with him ... kind of weird but I think the young boneheads (bullies) somehow knew better.
Tell him I said hello (he might not remember me) Hope to meet ya sometime.

TK, had a great time at the show, well ... all the way up to the (R) biceps tear Was awesome to feel the adrenaline of competition again, been a longggg time. You guys are really competitive, lov it. You seem like you got a good gang there! ps. Surgery on this coming tues, near full rupture, they say 80% to 90% tear. No fear, it really is best case scenario cause I'll be 100% again. Worst case senario would have been 30% torn and not bad enough to operate ... thus weaker R arm that i have to always baby.  Anyway, was good to meet ya ... pss. were training again tomorrow ... Russell will be there, were gonna make him better and you better watch out he's coming for ya!!!!! I'm pulling Left tomorrow (which is my secret weapon anyway) - gonna see if I can beat anyone with ONE ARM ;D ;D Your awesome with the R arm .... I'm gonna gun for you with the L . My left is strong like bull. I did the R for expierance (1st show and all) .... and what a experience!!!! lol Tim |

I'm finalizing the Sanford tournament, I'll have particulars out soon.
Trying to decide divisions and weight classes. Yes, it is July 19, 2008, Captains Cove Restaurant and Bar, Poolside, Sanford, FL.
I'll also be putting word out about a tournament in October at the Sanford Bikefest, it will be the Southern Region Championships.
Hope to see you at both events.
