Rick Soliwada called me last night to talk about the Arnold and then we started talking about Vegas, from that conversation we had good reason to believe the following will be in Vegas at 154.
Engin Roman T Steven Kirlew Craig Sanders Devin Rick Vern Simon Ray H Bryon RJ Fernando Flori Corey Miller Brent Norris
What about these guys? Plaster? Rivas? Perry Bruhm? Accardi? Shaloub? Lagasse? Joey Costello?
Anyone else?

Thanks, Engin, I had him on our first match, and I blew it, mental mistake......
Our finals match he switched up his approach a bit and I failed to figure out how to properly attack him, we had 3 seperate tough starts I was fried by the third one, a lot of credit to Bryon he is very strong and very smart.
In Vegas we all just get to fight over who gets to try their hand at you on the final table Engin.
I do not doubt you will be in the final but I think who ends up across from you may surprise a lot of people, because with a class like this anything can happen.
I look forward to seeing you soon.

Hi Simon! Unfortunately i won't be there as i seriously injured my right wrist just before the Worlds and it still hasn't recovered!! I hope to be at the Worlds this year though! Also Craig Sanders isn't sure he is going to Vegas but if he does he won't be going in the 154's for sure. That's what he said anyway! Take care mate!

Looks as though the 154 lb class and 176 lb will be stacked for sure. The only problem is out of everyone listed in the 154lb class and the 176lb class, how many of them are actually going to show up? I wish there was a way to know that way everyone would know if people like Babayev or Gashevski would be here. I like knowing who is going to show up that way I can expect some fierce competition.

What? You I understand I know you had an injury but Craig not pulling 154? Tell him to get on the diet wagon and start cutting weight, I owe him a better match than our last.

In the large 154 list I have spoken to or been told by people that have spoken to those individuals that they were likely to come. But as you can see above anything can happen though and things do change.
At 176 I would be surprised if anyone beyond, Cvetan and Andy would show up beyond the North Americans, simply because I have not seen a lot of these other people travel to the US. I would be shocked if Rustam showed.
George Chad Craig Olin Andy Cvetan Fisher Ryden Cobra Anthony D Ballinger West Parton McGraw Craig Sanders? Matt Harris? James Smith, (was talking about going up in weight at the Arnold though) Chris Chandler (was also talking about going up in weight in general)
These are all likely to possibly attend.

No he said he was 156 just the other day. He thought about pulling 176 because of his other event schedules where he needed to be 165, but it looks like we get to play with Mr. Terzi in Vegas. ;D

No doubt sir.. . One can only hope he is still feeling a bit generous for the final match even after a long event like this one.

Wow, both 154's and 176's are loaded. Good luck to all pulling those classes. And God help anyone that has to pull Engin, for you have my pity.

Simon...
That is a good list of competitors to expect. I will be there for sure....coming down with Dave Hicks and Gerry Beaudry. I am looking forward to doing some serious pulling to get into the finals. Engin and myself have talked a bit about this tournament....its going to be a real showdown and the answer to a lot of questions. I do hope that Aubin, Christianson, Lengel, Costello, Wiggens and Belluz can also make it from Canada into the 154 pound class as well.
We should have had a tournament like this long ago....it draws more hype than the World Championships. With money being put on the table you have nothing to lose...and it stills draws the best of the best to the event to see who is number 1. ;D
I believe every class is going to be full of top competitors and no class is going to be any easier than the next. This is going to be a great event to have on DVD for years to come.
I am going to Mike Goulds tournament at the end of the month to test my arm out....it will be my first tournament back since my blood dialysis treatments. I am looking forward to seeing what I can do....I have been working hard at getting back in shape....so we shall see if it has paid off.
Simon...how has the energy patches been working for you anyways? I know my endurance and overall strength has increased....not feeling sore after working out has been great as well.
I heard that you might want a supermatch with me at the Fame event.....that would be great! ;D
When are you arriving in Vegas...I will be there on the 14th till the 19th...I would enjoy getting together with you for a night out.
Well train hard buddy ..... looking forward to seeing you soon.....Vern "one armed bandit" Martel.
