A&E Indie: One Strong Arm *TV-PG March 16 at 10:30 PM ET/PT This new series is dedicated to independently produced short films. This first installment is an inspiring and sometimes funny portrait of an extraordinary young man. When he was 18 months old, Cody Wagner was diagnosed with a brain tumor. During surgery to remove it, he suffered a series of strokes that paralyzed one part of his brain and body. At the time, the doctors predicted he would never recover. Sixteen years later, with the support of his family and friends, Cody has discovered the one sport that makes him whole again—arm wrestling www.controlyourtv.org/NetworkDetail.php?NetworkID=13

Dam, what a great story!!! It get’s a little deeper than the 30 min show, Cody was a Nintendo junky and had very little interest with the surroundings around him. When John called me about helping Cody get into armwrestling, I figured it would be a one time deal, to my surprise Cody was stronger than crap and took on a new hobby “armwrestling” he was 15 years old at his first tournament. Armwrestling impacted and changed his life, all he can do is think about armwrestling. He’s 19 now, still working out and calling all the time, asking when is his next tournament. He won the amateurs Reno Reunion Internationals (154 left) weighing only 110 soaking wet he pulled several times and came out on top.
If you only knew what John and Ginger went through during this tragedy, it would bring tears to your eyes. There more proud of Cody than word can express and Cody is still hitting the weights and challenges anybody that crosses his path.
John and I have been working on the Cody Wagner US Open; Roseville CA when we get the sponsor bucks you’ll see this event on the agenda…
