I think Ct is a lock with James and Josh both at 189. Not many in the country could match those two. Only chance is Mike Selearis NY and Steve Rau WI. However if the classes were 0-175/176-209/210+ winner take all in each class, I think NJ definately has something to say for who ever takes this contest.
Orapallo and Vinikoor at 175, Me and me at 209, and Luke, Carbone and Bigwood 210+ Let's just same we've got a better than average chance if it's winner take all. ;D

This is very interesting. I think you guys have something here as far as sparking some big time interest in the sport. State vs state "dual meets" if you will. There could be some sort of point system set up, so that a win isnt just a win...say this...... a "flash" is worth the most team points.....say 5 points. If you win in the straps...... 3 team points...... victory on a slip in a losing position 3 points..... I'd say... if u foul out you are giving up 5 points also .... that way there is no insentive to stategically and intentionally foul out to give up a lesser amount of points..... there is something to be said for the loser in a long hardfought match as well as the winner.....so if u lose a 1 minute match u werent dominated so I dont believe that your team should be giving up the full 5 or 6 or whatever u come up with....get it? I dont know.... perhaps this is something we could work on with state reps. I think they would be a huge adrenaline type of events..... to win for your team as well as yourself.....I like it

then there is the problem of $$$ for travel though  SPONSERS?? ALSO DIFFERENT STATES MATCH UP DIFFERENTLY SO WEEKS PRIOR THE TWO STATES WOULD NEED TO AGREE ON WEIGHT CLASSES. FOR EX LA. VS MA. MOSTLY LIGHTWEIGHTS (crap... caps button was locked) but I think stategically it would be fun.... who matches up with who's style etc.... for ex who would be the better to put against RJ, just style wise to maybe only give up 3 points instead of 5 (or win) who matches up with ray, olin etc these are examples but gives a team something to train for ...maybe I'm in fantasy land lol but I think its a cool idea if we all created a good scoring system to make match ups more interesting. who knows.... |

Benji is a great guy and a very smart puller. That is a huge compliment coming from him. Nothing but respect here for Benji. His hand is like a piece of steel and he knows how to utilize it. I'd love to come up and train with u guys sometime, if I can get this left to heal up. you guys should come down to tim bresnans practice on the 7th in ct.

Edwin Safarian has stated that he will start training just for this event... ... And once we get the top winners in the EAST... we can then have an EAST coast vs WEST coast challenge.... |

Let's try to put it together for June. That is a good time of year to do it. We just have to find the right venue and a couple of refs.
