I'm finally getting to the point where I know most of the "big names" in our sport. When someone mentions one of the more popular names I get a picture in my mind of what they look like. I've been wondering lately though who are the best armwrestlers in the United States and abroad whom you feel don't receive as much recognition as they deserve. Any names you want to drop on this thread?

I think Rick Soliwada, was significantly underated until Vegas, and Mike McGraw despite all he has done in this sport is still significantly underated.

I would have to say by far Roger Nowatzke, pulls, 154 and 176 , has a hand stronger then any buddy I have felt, he is not scared of any buddy and wants to pull everyone, this kids is the real deal

I found this steel worker about 8-10 years ago that showed up at a little bar tour . His name is Chris Vanderbogart.. Blazing speed, big hand, and super strong at 176.. He goes to the AAA Nationals and places 3rd and just like that gone.. And his tech was medium at best. He would have been great.

A few names off the top of my head: Rhett Houdek, Bob Wardrip, Allen Ferriera, James Smith, Chad Efird (as good top pressure as I have seen from a 187 so far), Rob Vigeant (a name you will all soon know), John Parton, Ron Klemba and Mike West (you hear about them but they don't get the recognition they deserve), Paul Walther, Darren Courtemarche (sp?), Steve Balligerone (sp.?), Dan Whittle, Tony Kitowski, Shawn Turner, Jamie Fortenberry, Nick Zinna. I am sure there are more, I just can't think of any.
Oh yeah Garrett Stepsis. I forgot about him.

Scott, do you remember a guy named Durfee? I remember pulling him in an overall like 4 years ago in Mass. He was from your area in NY and, as I recall had a boatload of side pressure, was fast and had a great wrist.
His first name escapes me.
