I found this information on www.armpower.net internet site: "Very soon (4-5 April 2005) our sport discipline will make huge step towards the olimpic arena. President of EAF - Assen Hadjitodorov, together with Secretary of WAF - Willy Deneumostier, are going to Switzerland to International Olimpic Committee (IOC) to meet with representatives of World Wrestling Federation. The subject of the meeting will be inclusion of the armwrestling into Olimpic Wrestling family. During last years congress of WAF in South Africa, proposition was made to include armwrestling into Olimpic Wrestling. We are looking forward to effects of colloquium in Switzerland. What do you, dear Readers, think about it?" So what are your opinions? Is it a myth or hope? Thank you

I think it would be awesome to represent my country at this level. World recognized. In america the average person doesnt even know armwrestling is a sport. But ive noticed its defenitly growing especially with the ESPN coverage.

I would love to see armwrestling move on to the olympics but it seems that it will not happen for quite some time.

I would agree with Angry Engin (ps.howz it going mate & are ya gonna be in Vegas ) Olympics will come for Armwrestling but I seriously feel that the biggest goal for the sport is to make it as a truely accepted entertainment concept first. Armwrestling is a little like UFC in that respect its not a me too sport, its got its own unique signature which needs to be moulded into an acceptable mainstream media format. Once accepted as a sport or even as a serious popular entity Armwrestling can progress further. Big Venues and great event presentation is the key to Armwrestling's success. We have to find the correct balance I feel between show / entertainment and serious presentation of the sports perameters, objectives and elements. Cheers Neil.

I think that armwrestling still has some distance to go before included in the olympics, but i dont think the mainstream media aspect will have too much to do with it. Many people do not realize how many new events are included in the olympics every time the games are held.

There are currently 35 sports and 400 events held in the olympics. and for the record i think if handball and badminton are olympics sports....armwrestling should be too.

I'd personally like to see more coverage of Women's Trampoline in the next summergames.
