listen to me Pete,i wrote my thoughts, did i criticise yours?did i write that you should agree with me?im not great, but John is.if you are thinking that im great then you are wrong. if you pulled even two times before you had a match with someone who is just doing his first match then you are not as fresh as this person.and if you are pulling 3 classes with same arm then your 2. and 3. matches with this person happens when you are very very tired. just because John has done incredible things it doesnt mean that he has to be superman till he dies!! can you not have a different opinion?of course you can,but you must be drunk or upset because you are the one that is judging my opinion.so i should have asked you these questions.can i have my opinion?? OK, let's take it from the top. Engin, John pulled 1 easier match in the lower class, then he went to the next class and pulled another. That's two. Tim pulled a match, and then John pulled another pretty easy match in the lower class. That's three for John and one for Tim. Then John and Tim pulled. Neither were actually fresh at this point. For arguments sake, we will say they were warmed up. Tim pulls John in a long match and wins. They both pull the rest of the day. Obviously John pulled a few more matches because of the other class he pulled, but all in all, they both pulled the rest of the day. John let's a few matches get away from him to kind of rest up for Tim. Tim and John pull again and Tim wins. They run an overall and Tim and John have to pull again and Tim wins. Give him his credit, dammit!!! you know what Pete?you are damn right.i should have never even thought of betting on John, who the hell am i that betting on an armwrestling match???i have no right about thinking that John can win,you have right to tell me that im wrong about thinking that John can win.yea you are damn right. Reverse psychology won't work on me. I have five children and they pull that grammar school crap on me all the time. You'll have to do better than that. I never said I was right and you were wrong. All I was trying to say was that you would have to take into consideration that Tim recently beat John and he continues to train hard and focus in on his future in this sport, reason being, ever since he beat John he has had a target on his back. I only say this because I see it first hand, every time we have practice. So please, like I said, take it for face value and don't get too excited over my opinions. And by the way, since when the hell did my opinion matter anyways?

listen Pete, our subject isnt about giving credit to Tim or not.i personally believe different than you do about John vs Tim.pulling extra matches in a very top level tournament cant be counted as warm up,esspecially if one of your opponent was Matt Girdner.dont act like Tim's lawyer,i wrote many times that he is very strong.
yes you are right we are not married, you need to lose a few hundred pounds and have a couple of hundreds of plastic surgeries to become maybe my gf:)
keep your nose on your business or just keep picking on your little brother if he is still around.i think he was moving out,i guess you feel emptiness in your life and started to do BS about other ppl.

HA Alright, I am going to bite on this subject. Not to sound like Tim's lawyer, though I am his friend and believe he should have a voice on this board. And since John is probably my favorite armwrestler of all time and the greatest of all time, I am not trying to offend someone. Imagine that. So anyway, I think that Tim's match with John was more convincing the first time (when they were both fresh) than the second. John slipped in a losing position and then lost in the straps. And Tim's win was more convincing the second time than the third. Yes, I believe Tim was wearing down faster than John. Yes, I believe John has a much better gas tank than Tim. But Tim is new to the sport and needs some time to develop his endurance. I think we should take John's word for it on this subject. I do believe John came on here and gave Tim all the credit he deserved and did not make any excuses.

all this talk about who can beat who......?
the match between tim and john just proves that anyone can be beaten on any given day by anyone i give tim alot of credit and like james said so did john but just because A beats B and B beats C that A can beat C it does not work like that in armwrestling everyone pulls a little different than everyone else the variety is what keeps this sport going and one of many reasons why i love this sport so much!

James,i have pulled Tim at training and i know how strong he is.but thinking that John can beat him is not disrespectfulness to Tim.its same if you think that Tim can beat John again at next time, this wouldnt be a disrespectfulness either.its just my personal opinion, you may believe otherwise and that is great.
in this case im not the one who doesnt show respect to another one's opinion.and im not a beginner neither an unsuccesful armwrestler.constant succes doesnt happen by luck.

I think that post like these can get blown way out of proportion, as it has here. Bottom line is I agree a little with everyone here. Tim beat John the 1st match when he was fresh and Engin is intitled to his opinion too
But I will say this about Tim He cannot be judged by how he pulls in practice, or you have felt him. Honestly Tim has taken his share of beatings in practice, from a lot of us. But when he gets in a tournament with a straight wrist he has proven himself to be one tough puller and he is winning. Tim knows where he even needs to improve and he will in the next 2 years or so then look out.

Engin, I value your opinion, you know that. If I didn't, I don't think we would have had such great conversations while you were here. I understand your perspective. You have been in the game a long time and understand the subtleties of the sport unlike anyone I have met. However, from Tim's perspective, I think it is unnerving when he is constantly looked at as a fluke. He doesn't want to come on here and get caught up in the hullaballoo like some of us and I can respect that, but it doesn't mean that what is said on this board doesn't bother him. Every time he has beaten someone of considerable status he has been bombarded by excuses from other people as to why he won. Yes, people beat Tim in practice. But Tim is very careful on how he pulls people in practice. I am the same and I think everyone should be. Why give people a preview of what they might see in a tournament. With that being said, I don't think you are necessarily making excuses for John; you are merely stating your opinion that John would win in the event of a rematch. I have no problem with that opinion. Like I said earlier, I know you are not trying to disrespect Tim. If anything you would have to admit that he is a great pupil of the sport. He is (drug free), making the biggest strides of anyone I have ever trained with in the shortest amount of time. I don't think I would ever wager against John, pulling anyone. If he puts on 25 pounds or so I could see him returning to dominating the sport. But I wouldn't wager against Tim either. And like Guy said: in two years. OH BOY

Mr. Ruggiero, how can you be the king of the world? I've beaten you(in practice), pete and tim... Are you going to unifieds? I'll be there and looking to do alot better than i did at AAA.

Luke, you have not beaten me since 2003 and even then I was in recovery from an inner bicep tear. When are you gonna realize you suck? I really don't know who is worse, you or the Opitz brothers. Maybe the three of you should get together and have a meeting of the minds on who is the biggest dumb ass in this sport.
Let me know how it pans out.
