except for another OBVIOUS person, Mary McConnaughey, she is definatly needing to be on that list. I feel she is partially responsible for having such great pullers in the sport such as, Margie, Andy Paul, Nick Zinna, Hell even Don Underwood said at the 25th pull for the hungry that that was his FIRST tournament and she was a big part of him starting up. Jerry Janning also was part of team heartland back in the day.

Mary has not only lots of accomplishments in the sport , ut is huge in keeping the sport going. For so many people who know her to forget to mention her name is just ignorant.

Ion Oncescu is the best Romanian armwrestler. He is not only strong but very intelligent and technical. We only have but a recent history in armwrestling and Ion has been the number 1 since the beginning. He achieved his goal in 2007 when he won the WAF Worlds in the -90 kg class , both arms. In the same year , he won 3 silver medals at Nemiroff World Cup , -95 kg class both arms and Open class left hand. In 2008 , he won the WAF Worlds in the -100 kg class , both arms. In 2009 , he achieved another goal in winning the EAF European Championship in the -100 kg class , both arms. He then tried to make a record and with the WAF Worlds in the -110 kg class , both arms , thus becoming the first man to with 3 consecutive time , in 3 different weight classes , both arms. He didn't win though. We took 2nd place in the -95 kg class at Nemiroff in 2009. Except these world class results , he won almost all of the local tournaments he competed in and he is the -100 kg National Champion since the first Romanian Armwrestling National Championship in 2007 ,both arms (except 2008 when he participated and won both arms in the +110 kg class).
