Please direct all questions about the Mohegan Sun event to John Burgeson or Dave Devoto.

Yes, that's a good idea. I was hoping to be left in the loop and all with it. But when people call me up and ask otherwise simple questions like "Hey, what time does the tournament start on Sunday?" or: "Hey, my name is Cindy Looney and I was mentioned as someone that might pull in the women's class but it is 10 days before the event and I still have no inkling...."
I cannot answer.

Hey John and Dave: Can you guys get on here and answer James' question on what time this thing is starting? Some of us would like to watch, if we are allowed.

Start time is 10am on Sunday. That is the time that Dave Devoto told me. I will be talking to Dave tonight and will check again. I will also ask about the Ladies.

That's about when most people at Mohegan are going to bed.
I know I won't be able to make it if it starts at that time. I am working that day until about 1 and wouldn't even make it out there until 2:30. And I was just alerted that I might be pulling the tournament in the event that Kenny can't make it. Maybe they should get either Bill Sinks or Rob Vigeant as the alternate. They are close by and probably have Sundays off.

Currently, it is my understanding that the entire event will be held on Sunday, August 7. I do not have an exact start time or exact location inside the Mohegan Sun but I am hoping to start the tournament between 10 am and 12 noon. Spectators are encouraged to attend. There is no charge. The more spectators the better. Any qualified armwrestlers in the weight classes selected are encouraged to attend, in the event of last minute cancellations.
With that said, things could change. This morning, I was talking with the producer and he said interviews would be held on Saturday. A few days ago it was a one day event. I will post the information as quickly as I get it. I just want it to be accurate. As for the ladies, there have been no concrete decisions made. We have contacted Cynthia Yerby and Mary McCaughney, unless others have been contacted that I am not aware of. I have asked Dave to select the ladies. I have heard that Kenny Hughes will not be able to make it, but I haven't confirmed this with him. If he is not, then James Retarides was the next choice.
As for the brackets they will be done on a computer system. All names of each class are entered and seeded randomly by the computer. Referees are: Bill Collins, John Burgeson II and Bill Cox.
Thanks for all the interest.

It should be held in the Wolf's Den and it should be held at night or at least late afternoon. Nicole and I went up there for Bingo on my birthday at 10:30 and the gaming floor was a veritable ghost town. The arena is too big for armwrestling and the ballrooms (while spectacular) are far from any potential spectators. Just my two cents.

I talked to Dave tonight and Cindy Looney and Renee Been are the other two Ladies invited. As far as start time the tournament has to be run when Fox Sports is available to film it. John and Dave have no control over that. Hope to see everyone attend that can make it.
