We need to find a rep from each state to come up with $500 in sponsership to go towards the SEC Regional Championships, if we can get each state to put up $500 that would be $6000 to cover medals and cash prizes
lets be honest people some of the big dogs are not gonna show for a medal and good competetion, with $6000 we would be able to give cash prizes of 1st $250 2nd $150 3rd $100
I think along with the medals, great competetion, and a Regional titile on the line we garantee ourselves a great turnout by giving out cash
I know TAA can pull $500 togather without much problems, lets help each other out and do what we gotta do to make this the single most prestigious events in the SE.
so lets here it who will rep for their state and pull this money togather.

What do we plan to do with entry fees? If we charged $25 per entry and had 150 entries we're talking about another $3,750. The cash prize that you suggested of 250,150,100 would be $500 per arm per class? That would be $8000 if we did both right and left men's 54, 76, 98, 220, 242, 243+ and women's right and left 143, 144+.

Its 6000 based on mens left and right open, entree fees would be used to cover whatever medals we need, plus paying refs and such, then the rest would be put towards the next years event
I don't think the womens class is near competetive enough to payout the same as the men, maybe 100 to first, but let's face it if we only allow people in the region to pull then how many women do we have, how many of those women pull left and right?

Just another question, does someone front the money for the medals? The medals will have to be paid for before we get entry fees. Same with T-Shirts. I agree about the women. Maybe only have one women's open right hand class. I think we should have the same payout. There are several nationally competitive women in the southeast.

anthony,
I know this is going to get me in trouble but you cant have the same payouts. I love women, but there might be 2 to 4 in the classes. That means you win 2 matches, your in the money. In the mens division you could pull all day and never see the money. Lets be honest here. There cant be the same pay out. Look at all the major tournaments in the past. There has never been the same payout, if there was a payout for women at all.

I wouldn't care either way. We could just split the entry fees for the women's class. 70%/20%/10%.

This tourney sounds great..... Were not gonna do overalls right? TK

Let's also think of maybe mega match style payouts?..... The pullers bet on themselves?.... Doesn't have to much....

Todd, had a question for you. Why are my TN events not considered "SEC"? Ray, your Tri-State is on the schedule. I think your TN State tourney wasn't scheduled yet when he created the post for September. I'm sure he'll add it now that you've brought it to his attention.
