I think that it would be totally wrong to ban Mac from the NE Board. I'm very appreciative of how he might get on a lot of peoples Tits BUT thats how outspoken individuals play the game. I say let him stay, yeah he is abraisive and likes to stir the pot big deal. If u dnt like it dnt read it plain and simple. It seems to me just cause he is different he is being blackballed. If he is deleted this would be an injustice. I have been a member since 2005 and If some of the Ppl that still have accounts are allowed to remain then Mac should be allowed as well. There have been members that have made public death threats, threats of violence, used racial and religous terms that were derogatory in every sense of the word. Bill Cox would be hypocrite to get rid of Mac and to Mac go win a world title because then you can say and do whatever u want on here because thats how this board and armwrestling in general Rolls.

I think we should give stop sign the green light.If for no other reason, EVERYONE can decide if they want to read Mac's posts or not. Do we want the board to stay "vanilla"  ?Is this censorship? ?? Have I asked myself why "he no speak no good english". Yes. I have to admit I've been entertained by Mac Telle and some of the conflicts he's had with other members. I enjoy the diversity this sport offers and accept the fact that we're ALL different.LIVE AND LET LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I think the board is long past the days where we wanted our mothers and young children to check in from time to time. As the board grew so did the level of intensity, ego, testosterone and the differences in personailties.. I understand Bill Cox would like to keep it cleaner than where it could go if the board didn’t have some rules to keep people in check.
We also dont have to be as nasty as some other sports boards are either and I agree. But we dont need a G rated board either. Move off topics to proper place's tone down the language and sex to at least PG13 and i think we can have a happy middle.
There were things Mac and others have said that were removed because they went too far with the humor or arguments. Understandable , make adjustment than keep it in check.
At this point we dont need younger than a teenager reading the board anyway. An average 13-14 year old has heard a lot more than what go's on this board. Yes there are older folks too from the gone with the wind era , or religious folks , or people who are more protective ,who just don’t want to hear the extreme language or sexual jokes that can be a bit over the edge. So we have a community here and we need to respect that without compromising freedom of speech too.
There comes a time where the moderators have to draw the line and say enough is enough and perhaps remove someone after warnings and going too far. I think the voting idea as Bill said was a slight mistake or a moment of weakness and puts more pressure on him to remove Mac if more voted that way. I noticed the voting changed drastically in Mac's favor after the first day or two. I think this is because of intial reactions before giving the real meaning of the subject time to set in. I think if you had a weeks dialog than a vote. It would favor Mac or be even closer. I dont think a poll in this case is working or even necessary. I dont think removing Mac is what people really want either. For some some instant gratification and for some that instant gratification passed on the first 2 days of the poll.
I admit I voted to “remove” Mac my instant reaction to this thread , until I settled in and took his feelings in to account, his true meaning, dedication to arm wrestling . Im a reactive person , meaning my first impulse isnt always with keeping an open mind before reaction. I think Im not alone in the world and as my good friend James once said about me is I can be a reactive A##hole :-) but I'm not one literally. Another reason court systems ( though far from perfect) dont let the media convict and they have a jury after all is in and thought out.
Yes there are people who probably today still want Mac removed, But there are many who also dont want him removed. I’m one of them Id like him to stay. If Mac get's to stay he said a few times it's hard for him to change, he is who he is. Mac like everyone else will have to do what it takes to step back for one minute before hitting the send button. How many things have been edited or not sent by many of us during those moments ? Mac needs to go sit in the Pink Caddy take drive if he thinks his post could be over the top.

I haven't read every post by Mac. Have those who want to ban him read all his posts? If so, why if you can't stand or don't want him on the board? If you have read all his posts then I'm gonna say you enjoy it. Even if you may not like him, you like the competition with words and you feel like you'll win if he gets banned. Actually you lose, we'll all lose.. Take some of that competitiveness to the table and the words won't hurt you so bad. Like Kenny said, Live and Let Live!

I vote for him to stay. I have never met the dude but I think that he would be a blast to hang out with. I don't agree with all of his post but he has made me laugh more then not. Just my two cents.

Let him stay! He makes an ass out of himself sometimes but it is plain to see how much he loves the sport and he has said himself he will control himself better and be more respectful

I vote for Mac! I think I understand where most of the nay sayers are coming from. However, like someone said before me, you don't have to read the posts...just like television or the radio...change the channel. It's called selective hearing/reading. I just got off the phone with Mac. He's a great guy and a dear friend. I see how some may take him as annoying, because I do too at times. Lol! However, his comments are never with ill intent. Lighten-up people...
