Thanks for the oversight. I'll double check and make corrections. Just wanted to change everything at the same time, when Karen sends the info. Again, this ranking system will be the "level set" for more complex systems in the future. We'll perfect this system and move on to the next.

Yea but in reality this system will not work due to fact that the we know we will never get everyone in Texas at the same tournament at the same time

Not necessarily true. If rank is important to a competitor, he/she will show up. Our goal should be to grow TX State, grow the sport in TX, resulting in a system in which all TX tourneys contribute towards rank. It will be rocky, at first, and not everyone will be happy. But, in the end, I am confident we will continue to make progress.

Well there was only one man in super heavies that could have stopped me that day. He didnt even pull as soon as his super match was over he split. But o well even the big king Keating couldn't have stopped me that day I set out a goal and did it.

We must have a basic set of standards in place in order to begin a ranking system. I feel that in 2-3 years the rankings will be very accurate. I knew, going into it, we would probably experience a few bumps, ie; top tier competitors unable to make it...which is fine. Let's give this basic system a few years to adjust itself.
Remember, we're going from not having a system in place to establishing one.

Damn Jerry calm down. Of course its not accurate Gabes goin off of what remembers from the tourney. You have to remember that Karen Bean has the brackets, thats what he needs to see which Tx resident made it the furthest if none of them place in the top 3. Give it time and will work its self out.

Thanks Christopher. Jerr-Dog -- the longer we utilize this system (ie 2-3 years), the more accurate it will become. It is a dream to see TX grow into a systematic arm wrestling machine...rankings, BIG tournaments, etc. We haven't followed a ranking system. Tell me, before this tournament, was there any tournament in TX that actually ranked competitors in TX? For everything, there must be a beginning. And, in the beginning, there is always hiccups and roadblocks. We will adjust as time goes on. And, I know you don't think its accurate because I should have won the Left Hand Overalls...and you know who Christopher's daddy really is, lefty.

I like the idea of having one tournament decide the rankings. I would only add that any filmed supermatch could change the rankings at any time. All you would have to do is send a link of the footage to Gabe and he would update the rankings. Obviously the current system has some glitches but that is to be expected. For example, Jason Turnbo is ranked 2nd behind Robby Burnett. Sure Jason took second in the super heavy open class but I beat him in the heavy amateurs twice. I didn't pull superheavies because I cut weight to pull the lighter class. I am not saying I should be ranked as the #2 super heavyweight in Texas by any means, it was just an example.
