I agree with you, but sorry Newt is NOT our man. There's a reason why no one that worked with him in Congress is endorsing him....

I love a good out of context video! The Fact is there is no candidate with a better track record (.) & Newt has some of the best endorsements out there. Reagan, Laffer on & on www.newt.org & Me! LOL Travis they can HOPE, DREAM, get out there lucky rabbit foot. Find a falling star a make a wish that Obama will START to pull his head out of his a$$ & stop the printing of US dollars. Stop the completely out of control spending. With NOTHING to show. Nothing but a unemployment rate that is unacceptable (.) I will put in a man that has & will do the job! If you or I did our job like Obama we would be out of a job. & we would deserve it (.)

Out of all the candidates, including Obama, only 1 has a goal of less governmental control. We shouldn't always hear "what our government can DO for us". It's all a form of slavery. I heard a news report yesterday about a new job Obama created in the schools, and the example they gave was: this new job judges if your kids lunch (from home) is healthy enough. "They" told the kid that their turkey sandwich didn't comply, and was forced to eat cafeteria chicken nuggets. Our "freedom" is getting chipped away as each day passes. It's not a Rep vs Dem thing. It's not a black vs white thing. It's a Personal Liberty thing. Only 1 guy is actuall FOR the American people.

I heard that story and it just drove me crazy. That could be why we home school with the assistance of a local study center. It is just too bad the majority of the people don't have a clue what freedom is. They believe that we need govt. to run every aspect of are lives. That is just scary. Though any running rep. is better then where this current administration wants us to go. Although One definitely stands out.

Why is petroleum (crude and refined) our number 1 EXPORT? I am sure you know that even if we sucked every bit of oil that we know about out on American soil (waters) of the ground in 1 day, it would only last about 12 years factoring current barrell usage. Even then it is a non-renewable resource.
Drilling will create temporary jobs akin to textiles (1910-1960), manufacturing (1900-1980) and construction (1950-2010). For a lasting American economy, we need to grow in something that can't be outsourced for cheaper, and something that won't run out. As much as you might hate to hear it, that would be renewable energy, technology and agriculture...all of which are at odds with the current energy policy being pushed by GOP candidates. Plus on a side note, as far as gasoline and crude goes, the trend for the last decade suggests that supply does not effect price. Price is solely a byproduct of speculation and devaluation of the dollar (which is the standard for oil pricing). We are, and have been, in a false economy where the money changers decide what we are going to pay, make and do without while we argue about which crumbs of theirs we get.
The federal reserve and world bank are money laundering scandals. The tax code was written to bilk us out of our tax dollars because corporations need welfare and abatement. And our campaign laws mean our politicians are bought and paid for.
For all the "conservative" talk radio and Faux News pundits, they sure have a hard time endorsing and getting behind the only true Constitutional conservative; Ron Paul. They can't control the man because his personal history is spotless and he is incorruptable. He has no stock, he takes no money from lobbyists and he publicly denounces PAC and SuperPAC "help". He is stand up, but not my idea of a statesman and President.
Without sounding high and mighty, please look back in history regarding American economics, war and corruption. The late 1800's/early 1900's are illuminating as it relates to today. Study the Phillipine-American War and be amazed at the similarities with Iraq and our meddling in the Middle East (or for that matter Vietnam and Kosovo). We are doomed to continue to repeat our mistakes because we learn nothing from our past.
Real change will not come because we do nothing to change the rules and status quo that prevent it. Money is power, and those with money do not want to give either up, so they will do what they need to do to keep it including misdirection (like war, fringe "hot" issues, and the blame game).
That being said, I would not want to live anywhere else.
