Geoff Hale and Ethan would be a good one! And, Geoff isn't that far away.

Geoff is not available or he would have been the first call when Craig was out.

I would love to pull Ethan. He is a great and a respectable puller. Sadly at the fatboys tournament I tore my rotater cuff. That is the original injury that put me out 5 years ago. This time I am going in for surgery. Not sure how long I will be out from pulling, but as of right now I can still train in certain ways. Good luck to Ethan and his competitor.

Tony, that SUCKS!!! I was looking forward to seeing you tear it up at MN States, and at other tourneys this year... can you still pull right handed? It's your left rotater cuff that's torn, correct? Good luck with the surgery.

Chad your a bit more than ethan is ready for next year . That doesn't make any sense at all. It is a championship seeking the best in class right ? Yet you discriminate who pulls by them being too good when the best is what you are looking for.... Or am I way off ? You put out an open challenge with a grand price tag as long as weight is met.... I don't get why anyone can't get a crack if they meet the criteria. Do we want fake champs ?... Just saying

Rob,
The first thing I remember from this was the weight was at 165...which Chad can't make regardless. When they were scrambling to fill that hole is when the door was opened to any available challenger and weight was a secondary concern. When Chad stepped up, I think it was apparent that:
1. He was 10lbs over the original stated weight. 2. Is more than Ethan can handle anyhow.
Number 2 answer seems like a polite way of telling Chad "please don't get the urge to cut down to 165 because Ethan doesn't want to pull you right now in his career"
I could be wrong too, and you are correct that the best should pull the best, but at the same time I think that regional competitions should allow good "mid tier" guys to build a little confidence and a name for themselves. How many people gave Paul Talbott any thought prior to the Arnold? Now he is out there as a contender. We all know Chad is great and legendary at his weight, at this point anything short of world-class competition doesnt' seem fair. Ethan will probably eventually get there, but he is not Chad yet.

Last time I checked, the belt is usually billed as the Toproll WORLD Title or something similar. I think I've heard Don say world champion when discussing his belt holders.

Don is a great promoter, but I don't think anybody considers these legit world titles...no offense meant to anybody who has one. Especially considering that one has to live in the greater Kansas/Missouri area to generally hold or compete for one.
Lets not play a word game, when we as pullers know what's up. Don is simply promoting TopRoll and his team...rightfully so.

Lol yea not legit the belts have only been held by the best pullers in the us and some former multi world champs bath bagent lupkies not to mention bill has not been challenged and ethan at 160 maybe as good as anyone anywhere . So not to call these legit is silly .
