Vazgen Corey Miller Kyle Knapp Jamie Sheldon Rick Soliwada Ethan Fritche Geoff Hale Marlin Hicks Justin Bishop Rj Molinere That would be sick I wouldn't put RJ in this company. If this was a historical discussion, yes, but now, NO. That is disputable. Once you achieve a certain level you don't just lose it. Between skill and muscle memory Rj could be back in the mix easy. There are many that would make an outstanding class.

First off, yes I would add Talbott, Kindt, and many others to this list. I have a problem with ONE post on this thread. Mr Schnell, according to you, those without national titles should not be listed? I guess in this case and current listing, since I dont have a NATIONAL title I should not be on here, correct? I have beaten several NATIONAL champions. Delving further, I train with pullers WITHOUT "National" titles that can, have, and DO beat National Champions. In fact, I personally have beat NATIONAL CHAMPIONS in weight classes higher than mine. Your post does bring up previous thread issues regarding STATUS and CREDABILITY of said titles but a title is a title according to the powers that be. Those who have NOT "Earned" one or "Won" one or even "Easily Obtained" one should not be counted out of top consideration for events such as the one stated in this thread.

Marlins name has already been mentioned. People know he's the real deal at 165. Matt Wiggens isnt known so well and is on par with Marlin even beating him at this years Nationals

Jamie,
Not singling you out, but I think the qualification begs the question; why DON'T you have a national title? Bad draw? Styles make matches? Got fried in a long, drawn-out match? Whatever the answer I feel it has legitamacy. [rhetorical]
In this group of (already) 20 or so names, I imagine that there are only 2 ways to run this group. First a randomly seeded bracket, double elimination. How winning a national title reflects on this should be evident. Different styles, completely dependent on draw, might get into a couple dogfights. If somebody wasn't able to go through a nationals bracket with, lets be honest, at least 1 or 2 easy matches. How would that same person be justified in a bracket with nothing but hard ones?
If a round robin, enduro type of event, then this is all about the stamina. While having a national title doesn't reflect on this type of event, any excuse of losing that national title due to having a couple hard matches is invalid.
National champions have typically earned respect due to making it through a bracket of (mostly) top-level guys, pulling different styles through that bracket, and having enough left in the tank to finish it off. It is a good benchmark when these discussions come up regarding "who's the best", because they have proved it. Whacking a national champ once in a tournament or at practice doesn't prove it. Having a champ's number doesn't prove it. Going out and winning one for yourself despite the difficulty that entails, proves it.
At the end of the day, I am not setting this up, and your 100 is just as good as anybody else's. If the organizer wants Jamie Sheldon, then good luck man, I hope you do your very best. It isn't my intention to speak poorly of anybody mentioned.

If this was a historical discussion, yes, but now, NO. Thats not entirely true my friend. RJ has and can come out of nowhere and kick some A$$, he has done it before, in fact at the arnolds. Never count him out!! But he needs to take a break from the movie star life and get back on the table.
