i like certificates with a % of entries back to the winer if you have no spon certificates are cheap but you can put them away are hang them on the wall like a plaque. Its just a little proof that you won but i prefer a plaque over a trophy because it takes up less room and it lookes cool to have a wall of them ;D

I am really liking the idea of the embroidered athletic bags also. You could really make them nice and they would be very useful. I am going to work on that one and see what we can do for an upcoming tourney. I just like thinking outside the box on the awards issue. I appreciate all the feedback from everyone. it would be nice for a one time prize but what would a person do with a bunch of them

But it would be cool to make a kick ass bag for just one tournement.

I still have a silver necklace with the classic arms I got like 15 years ago in Nebraska. I can get some made for roughly $30 each without the chain. Expensive, but real silver. Put mine on a leather strap.

Won a gym bag at the Show Low Showdown in Arizona some years back. Embroidered with Uncle Sam ready at the table. Nice, good quality bag.

I have had more than one trophy destroyed bringing them home, and my wife hates them! As someone else stated her words are "they are just dust catchers" I have one bag they are very nice as well.

For uniqueness I like the idea of a ring for something monumental
For everyday events medals are fairly cheap and easy to maintain, put the rest of the money out as cash prizes jmo

You guys realize that we are all wrong here. If we really want this sport to explode then we need to start winning prizes that the wives will enjoy. They would be pushing you all out the door to go compete. Maybe the prizes need to be Coach bags and DG sunglasses and stuff like that. Maybe we need to totally rethink this thing...lol.....JUST KIDDING!!

I thought the plaques given away in chicago the last time the nationals were held there were pretty nice. At the moment my memory is slipping can't remeber the year.

But if we are talking about the AAA then it was 2002 not 01. That was a great tournament. We had great time at after party too.
