NAL was contracted to run the weigh ins and the pulling. As a ref I am out a load of money on tickets for me and my girlfriend, lost wages from work ect. I feel your pain if this flops. My flights leaves in a few hours. I feel bad for you Bart because you were pulled into this but NAL was way more than that. They were the sanctioning body giving legitimization to the event. That is on Travis personally.

Ive been to a couple UAL events and fully support Robert and Bill Collins after seeing what they can do. My faith would lie with them undoubtably.
That being said... on the flipside of all this and not an advocate for Marvin at all... just looking at the other side here. Why would an investor continue to back an event that was built entirely around a huge supermatch with MT & TB? I mean what really happened with that? From a distant view, the problems start there.

What's even worse is those armwrestlers that were pushing and promoting this event haven't spoken about the cancellation at all, except a blurb from Allen Fisher. Is that really the way that they want to be remembered by the rest of us armwrestlers, as crooks and untrustworthy?

I called bull**** from day 1. Did nobody else wonder why non of the half ass flyers that were posted never said sponsored by someone. Nobody is just gonna give away thousands of dollars for shi** n gigz. Way too many signs that pointed to scam. I dont feel sorry for anyone that spent money to fly out to this one.

Why are the competitors not basically requiring an event to be held in the same venue? If the venue was contracted for this event, the space is still slotted for an armwrestling event, so the least Marvin Cohen should do is hold the event there. Why is anyone else trying to put something together when, as far as what I've seen, an official cancellation has not been posted anywhere. Karen, that is not how Marvin works. Rumors come out and Allen posts that Marvin is trying to get another sponsor. As for the host hotel........who knows exactly what Marvin told them. Anyone that bought tickets to Vegas and now are shocked that it fell through.......just wasn't paying attention. This is exactly what Marvin does, it could be great or it could be a disaster and this time disaster struck. Leonard, you know how Marvin works and I know how Marvin works - we've seen it through the years. My questioning too is also out of concern for the venue. As far as we know, a venue in Vegas is expecting an armwrestling event. I think it's great for anyone that is able to jump in to help, but with the armwrestlers first in mind, the venue second.

So, isn't there a hotel with a conference center / auditorium booked and won't there be a production company standing around looking for something to film? I assume both of the above entities required some kind of contractual payment up front, event sponsor be damned. That's got nothing to do with these people.
