Brad...I have been asking this question for a week, seems like you got somewhat of an answer from Robert. I am somewhat shocked at some of the ones who agreed to NOT pull in other events! what other org.s are there? How about AAA,, who has had tournys for us all since Robert was in Diapers???...Mike Gould Classic, My Superstar Showdowns where John Won both?? He cant pull in the Next one?? Not being negative but come on..Mac Telle?? give me a break. So to all of us hundreds of pullers who didn't or wont sign..There is still bigger things ahead...Keep pulling my friends!! Sincerely Sol "Arm and hammer" Ingram

I have full faith in Robert, and the rest of the UAL crew. 100%. But I am worried that some of this will be a circus side show. I want to see good pulls and this SPORT to be shown in a good light. I mean NO disrespect in this but pullers who are signed just because they "put on a show" may not be the best approach. I could be wrong.
UFC was NOT built on made "characters". They were just who they were. They put it all out there and brawled. Dana and the Fertitas made really smart business decisions on how to move the business forward and they pulled people into the UFC based on TALENT. Period. I want this for the UAL. People who can pull extremely well, talk trash before, during, and after the match but STILL show respect. Ryan Clark, RVJ, Corey Miller, Chris Chandler, and Justin Bishop are some GREAT picks.
Just my .02

Sounds like some of you should put together your own league and get a network to buy in to your ideas of what you think will sell.

I just have mixed feelings about it. I like what the UAL is doing in terms of marketing and structure, but what really determined this first group of signed competitors? Who could make it to a grand opening and who couldn't? Maybe I missed some of the details, but how will more future competitors be 'qualified'?

Sounds like some of you should put together your own league and get a network to buy in to your ideas of what you think will sell. I think clowns and a$$hat characters sell very well thank you. There are shows like Honey Boo Boo and the entire MTV Lineup as proof. My question was/is, "is this a good move for armwrestling?" I truly respect the UAL, they have always come through on their promises and events. I am under the thought process that some of that baggage isn't necessary to put together something special. You're a real puller Jake, and have proven it and deserve whatever good fortune you receive from this sport. Here I'll go naming names; Chuck and Mac are not worthy of being recognized as armwrestlers to the general public. They're a sideshow of mediocrity. Would Robert sign "Powder"? He would go viral in a second with the right exposure, afterall how many coked up idiots powder up their nuts before armwrestling? That guy! Imagine reddit getting a hold of that footage. All I'm saying is that the UAL just signed some people who are not really good examples of armwrestling, but may very well be good for entertainment purposes. If we want to believe this is a legit sport, shouldn't those be signed actually be "pros" at it?

If we want to believe this is a legit sport, shouldn't those be signed actually be "pros" at it? If Robert is going for TV then i believe he is making the correct moves. The guys he is signing have personalities that make people want to watch them, regardless of their past achievements they are Pullers who live close, have supported the UAL more than anyone, and will do THEIR BEST to help promote the sport of Arm Wrestling and the UAL to try to get this seemingly immovable ball (Arm Wrestling popularity) rolling. To be honest as far as watching TV and chilling on my couch (if i was a random person knowing nothing about AW) i would rather watch Stop Sign act like an idiot screaming all day then listen to someone with no personality drone on about finger placement and back pressure. I feel with this mixture of personalities and top pullers any kind of show that might be put on will have great AW quality while still being entertaining as hell..... But honestly i believe that we need to focus on the Entertainment part of AW to draw people in...... once they watch the show and google 'How To Arm Wrestle' then they can learn all they want about techniques and how to go about it. We just have to peak their interest. It seems to me that the best shot we have right now at getting AW out there and growing our sport is the UAL, they have proven themselves time and time again. They havent left us yet even though we havent provided them with squat. I honestly believe in these guys and i feel that (Unlike the World Bar blah blah blah) these guys are professionals with ALL OF OUR interests in mind. It bothers me how skeptical people are acting towards them (Not you necessarily John). ;D

Speaking of "the Destroyer" who is the guy that ate Chuck Young? I remember him as big, goofy 98, that started out by being humiliated by Luke Kindt. Looked like he might be good in a few years and BOOM this new dude is like 230+ almost overnight!!! WTH?, a thyroid condition or chedda Bo biscuits?

I to am surprised that some of those top pullers would only pull UAL. Each contract must be different. They gotta be given Mike, John, Todd etc money for only pulling UAL. Curious.. Congrats to Robert for pulling this off. I'm guessing he will loan guys to arm wars, seeing as M. Todd seems to be Pickups guy.

Sounds to me like someone is jealous they didn't get signed lmao. Everyone on that list is doing work right now and not to mention some of the worlds most stand up and bad ass pullers are on that list. Kudos to everyone that signed Robert is an amazing business man

So many people on here have so much to say about contracts and The UAL's doings without ever reading the contracts or really doing any homework at all about what was offered. Why in the world would all of those top level guys sign exclusive contracts with the UAL if there wasn't a guarantee of success or some ROI as a puller for their decision to only pull UAL events? Seems like their is a good amount of compensation then huh? So many of these questions seem to answer themselves once you think about it for a second.. Regarding nationals and WAF, ask Robert..but I believe the UAL is hosting nationals again anyway.. Regarding arm wars.. Why would the UAL drop so much money promoting an athlete so they can pull for another organization and incur free gains? Where does that benefit UAL? UFC doesn't do that with other fight leagues.. It doesn't make sense at all. But i dunno maybe they will.. who knows... if the ual does what they say they will it wont matter what other leagues are doing. nobody will come close. IMO some people seem upset that they missed the boat or didn't heed the warnings that the UAL would blow up as promised. Rome wasn't built in a day and bill and Robert have been saying hang in there since the inception of the UAL. The UAL hasn't ever gone back on its promises and people talking crap on the UAL is just ridiculous. They are doing so much for this sport and if people really do want a chance at this becoming huge then everyone should get on board..
