Arm wrestling has been a hidden love for me since the last decade or so. I never really got the chance to arm wrestle anyone (not even friends or family) but now I have decided that enough is enough...I'm done watching all those arm wrestling videos on youtube. I want to get out there and experience arm wrestling someone. But I don't know where to begin. My first roadblock is that I'm a girl. Second is that I'm totally out of shape but I have learned enough techniques to put up a good fight for a first timer. Third, I live in an area where there are no clubs with warm people who have the patience to teach me.
I was excited when I found a facebook page of a billiards place nearby who had a arm wrestling table but when I called, they said they don't have it anymore.
Just to even get that first experience, I'm not sure where to go and how to approach anyone. I don't visit a lot of bars and from what I have seen, other fellow patrons at bars are much bigger than me. What tips do any of you have for absolute beginners like me? How can I get out there and start challenging others?
Thanks in advance!

Where do you live? There are teams everywhere. I suggest you find a team and go to a practice.

I live in bay area of CA...there are no clubs or teams that I know of and I have searched high and low on the net. I wish I could just go to bars and arm wrestle with random people but people are weird...
