Hi Friends, It has been difficult to approach this subject but I really feel that you need to know. A couple of weeks ago Leonard Harkless was diagnosed with solitary plasmacytoma which is a rare form of bone cancer. He is having radiation therapy everyday to kill the cancer in his 6th vertebrae and to solidify the vertibrae. The recovery rate is very high but there is always the possibility of reoccurence. Luckily armwrestling revealed the disease early when he broke the diseased vertebrae during a match in July. Leonard was unable to travel to Japan because of this but is looking forward to the trip to South Africa next month. Please keep him in your thoughts. Denise

Bill,
I agree!
I talked with Leonard last week and haven't seen a more postive attitude from anyone when it comes to beating cancer.
Of course I would expect this from Leonard as he approaches life with an upbeat attitude.

My test's today revealed that it is in just one spot and not anywhere else. That is very good news. The radiation is working and I have no side affects so everything will be fine. Thanks for your kind words and wishes. ;D
