Just putting in my two cents. (no one asked..I know, but I will throw it out there anyway)
Being in my position (camera/EDITOR), I always felt that Travis' passion on and off the table is a positive for this sport. But that being said, it is kind of like adding something spicy to your favorite dish... Some people love a lot, others could do without it. (just how much is really the answer).
(I, myself, prefer spicy...however I recommend that if you are on Travis' bad side don't let him cook for you because he just may empty the bottle of tobasco sauce in your dinner.)
But...Without getting involved in the issues you are actually discussing, I want to say something about TRAVIS BAGENT....The man has passion. I respect that.
BOTTOM LINE: I would much rather have a passionate Travis' Bagent than a sedated Travis Bagent.
SIDE NOTE: I recently had the opportunity to get to know Travis' a bit more while staying with his family and I got to tell ya, there is much more to Travis than what you see on this board.
For what it's worth,

Travis
1) I have not talked to you enough in the past year to even make it worth being called an ass kissing session.
2) Go ahead and get me an acre of ocean front property lined up on the opposite side of where you will be. I'll have my x-rays handy. I own a business jackass, and I have better things to do with my time besides make up lies about a broken hand.
3) How old are you, about the same age as me? 26 or 27? I'm trying to state factual information and you want to play games. Don't you have a wife and son? I know your wife doesn't know you act like you do. I also know she doesn't approve you acting that way either. She told me at a tournament before that she can't stand it when you get out of hand. Why can't you have more respect for the general public than you do? The public, promoters, and sponsors are the one's who are going to get this sport further and further, not your loud obnoxious mouth.
4) Travis you did not beat David Randall at the SOS. He beat you in the finals and then dropped out because of an arm injury. You placed higher than he did.
5) Yes you are right there will be events that you and I are both at. It's not like I'll be in hiding or anything.
6) Did I ever say that I hurt myself while pulling the public? Learn to read.

You know my WIFE and how she likes me to act? ?? I'm sure your wife just loves the stop at the local Hospital everytime you go to a EVENT!!!!!!!!! Or do you have your own BATTERY operated X-RAY machine!!!! I DID BEAT RANDAL AT THE SOS, PLEASE STOP SAYING STUPID crap!!!!!!!!!!!! SCARED, you know your SCARED!!!! But beating on a 160lb man with weak BONES would make me look like and A**HOLE..... I would never want to act like that in PUBLIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What you said is that you pulled the PUBLIC, and I just figured you had to have BROKEN something in the process!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET STRONGER, the AAA (AMATEUR) Nationals are now out of your REACH...... What's PROMOTERS, SPONSORS, I am the BEST at that to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Olin, when is this gonna end with you already. You come on here and make bold statements and break the rules of the board and the whole nine yards and still don't get anything that Travis is saying to you. Try reading between the lines buddy. The more you intice him, the more he is going to come on here and fight back.
You also have the nerve to say that people on this board are afraid to stand up to him or to voice their opinion about him. How can you make such a bold statement like that without even thinking about it first?
I, for one, was the first person to ever call out Travis and get in his face. And I hadn't even met him yet at the time I did it. So try to keep in mind, there are things that people do that you and the A A A might not know about.
Also, enough already with your crying and moaning about the way Travis carries himself. If it bothers you that much than buy some Kleenex and go sit on your "momma's" lap. We don't need people like you b i t c h ing and moaning about who you like and dislike.
Me, personally, have always liked Travis even before I met him this year at Nationals and will continue no matter what he does for or against this sport. He is a person first in my eyes and let me tell you, he not a bad guy, like you have tried to make him out to be. I should know because Travis and I have spent many nights just shooting the crap and getting to know each other alot better over the past year or so. Not that I am the expert on what the guy is all about, I'm just saying leave the guy alone.
We all don't need to hear it anymore, and don't ever assume people won't speak their own opinions on this forum because you couldn't be more wrong.
Oh yea, I guess you could, because your the one that thinks Travis is a jerk!!!
And that is how the scroll down is done Travis!!!

Since you are the first one to ever call Travis out I congradulate you. Lay off my back boddy. You know as much about armwrestling as I do nuclear science. Stick to you local tournaments and leave me out of your conversations. I'm not crying nor moaning either, just stating some facts that I know. Here again you wouldn't travel enough to understand what I am talking about. If you guys up in the noth east don't like the information that I speak of either don't read my posts or kick me off the board. It's plain and simple. I must obvioulsy be trying to get some message across to people about the way he acts. I am not a liar, and I have hardly any enemies. You do the math.

I would just like to say that I personally like Travis. I also liked Mike Tyson earlier in his career, before he went to prison. I thought the way Tyson handled himself is similar to the way Travis conducts hisself. Travis like Tyson does add alot of color to this sport in my opinion, again this is just my opinion. So please dont come bashing me now because I think this way, but like Tyson drew a crowd to boxing I think Travis can do that as well to armwrestling. Just my 2 cents.

Jeremy here is the problem with your reasoning. I am not bashing you I just want you to think about this. Boxing is an accepted sport. In other words boxing is already in most people’s minds a true sport. When you get a guy like Tyson he becomes an oddity in a sport of pro's. Armwrestling is not even close to the same level of public awareness as boxing. We are still trying to "Sell" the public on armwrestling. If we can get people to these events through GNC, The Arnold or a local tourney we need to show them our best ..Not just in the competitive side but the fact that we as pullers take this sport serious and we are not just a bunch of bar toting loud mouths.
I want people to watch a tournament and go home and spread the word about how awesome this one match was. It is a disservice to all of us if that same spectator goes home and talks about some guy yelling "What's my name!" Or "If you have a problem I will hit you". Our sport can not afford to be looked on as a joke...not even by one potential fan. Like Engin I want this sport to go to the Olympics. How many other events at the GNC do you think had a competitor yelling threatening remarks at?

Chris, Im going to say this one time and one time only. People love to watch things for the outcasts, plain and simple, the drama thats what its all about sure the majority of us like to be good sports but thats not for everybody. If the public thought everyone was a great sport and they all got along and everything was all hunky-dory then what fun would that be to watch? I dont care how you promote the sport without a fan base your going to go nowhere and i believe Travis has fans whether they like or hate him is not for me to say but he still has fans. To me the way everything on t.v. is becoming if it isnt a soap opera or a reality show theres nobody watching it. Prime example is the W.W.E. Do you think them people go on t.v. and tell eachother how nice their hair looks or what a nice outfit that is? NO there cursing at eachother and all of that. People love the drama. Just my opinion

Jeremy, I respect your opinion. Also the W.W.E. is once again a lot bigger than armwrestling. I guess I just have a vision of taking this sport somewhere above the W.W.E. I would like this to first become an accepted sport..then bring in the Circus act.
Again just my opinion.

Olin, your right aout one thing. I am a badass!!!
You like to say all this crap about people and some of them you don't even know. Like me for one, you don't know me. You don't know where I have been. You don't know how much I know about armwrestling or nuclear science. You just don't know.
I am the kind of guy who WILL show up right in front of your face and do something if you ever try to make comments about me. I won't punk down to you, I'll take it to your head. So don't act like you know me.
Just so you know, I armwrestle because I like to do it, not because I have something to prove, but just because it's what I have liked since I was a little kid. I wish I only knew before I got involved in this sport, that there were people like you, bringing everyone down. You tell me to keep you out of your conversations, well guess what BUDDY, I won't!!!
I'll say whatever the hell I want to about you or to you, up and down this board if I choose.
Freedom of speech, BUDDY. Got to love it!!!
What really shocks the hell out of me is that you can type all these long essays about how much you dislike Travis and yet claim to be recovering from a broken hand. Which I might add, you said that you hurt pulling a bunch of public tough guys at the Vegas event.
And you question my knowledge of the sport?
I must be alot smarter than you because I wouldn't have done anything before an event like that, unless I planned on losing to Allen Fisher the next day!!! So you keep doing whatever it is you do before tournaments, I'll just keep watching your goofy ass on ARM T.V. losing to someone else.
I hope this is the last time I have to puke out your name from my mouth.
