Just curious what people think. Eric seems like the man to beat in the Northeast right now, but perhaps he's not afterall.........any thoughts?

Eric is the shiznit, but Reggie Ward is the real deal in my eyes. I have to go with my fellow statesmen as Reggie, with some pulling under his belt again, has the power to be of the ELITE. Eric is young & very talented, that is for sure. I am not trying to take anything away from him, as I respect him. I still love ya Eric...

TOP DOG IN THE NORTHEAST WITHOUT A DOUBT WOULD BE MARCIO BARBOZA !!!
I HOPE YOU GUYS HAVE NOT DISCONSIDERED THIS BEAST WHICH COMES OUT OF NEW JERSEY!!!
ALSO, DON'T FORGET PAUL WALTHERS, WHO IS MARCIO'S TRAINING PARTNER....
AND FROM THE STATE OF NEW YORK, GEORGI AND MIKE SELEARIS...
REGGIE WARD WOULD BE AMONG THE TOP, BUT YOU GUYS HAVE FORGOT TO MENTION JERRY CADORRETTE...NOW THATS ONE TOP DOG...

Marcio Barbosa. When he is on, I don't think anyone can beat him including our friend out in Russia.

I think Eric is the best in the north east until proovin otherwise. Mr. Bigwood doesnt make it to enough tournaments to be tested. His perogative, he feels it interupts training. I wish he would come to Newengland or somewhere. Reggie is not close to ready for Eric. the Reggie of 2000 has yet to emerge, but that would be interesting to see him and Eric G.
John memory span is short, which I also think is good for armwrestling . John has to beat Ray Darling handily first. Our team down here has something for big John too.

Eric easily gets my vote. One thing to consider is the number of tournaments he pulls in New England. The same tourneys every year: Can Ams, NH States, CT States, ME States, Fall Classic, Harley Pull, Vegas, etc, etc. He actually competes much more on a regular basis than anyone else in the Northeast. His competition knows where he will be, yet they fail to show up.... ...something to consider.

I agree with Josh and Guy.. Eric right now may be the Big Kahuna but once Reggie gets some more table time and training in it's going to be a different story..
Amedeo did you forget that Reggie's last year in the sport that he went right threw Cadorette, and it was inside no less.. Matter of fact Jerry showed up at a tournament after getting beat by Reggie and once he found out Reggie was there he backed out. Then Reggie withdrew because that's who he wanted to pull all of a sudden Jerry wanted to enter again.. So who do you think was the man that year???
I think alot of people have forgotten how good Reggie was. And how quick he is as a big man. Other than Travis and Marcio(when he's on) not to many people have that kind of speed..
Just my opinion!!!

Steven, what catagory are we talking about? B-list , no offense to Eric or Rob but they are not even close to Bagent or Barboza for top dog in northeast. they are both very credible pullers on their way up and will undoubtedly reach great heights but Travis would wack either one very quickly as would Barbosa. Now if the question is Eric or Rob ,then you have a debate Christopher Myers p.s. being on the B-list sucks, I know, I cant wait to hit the A-list, but I am not there yet

Hey Chris, I love yah like a brother but we are talking northeast.. Travis, as good as he is, is a little to far south to be considered northeast... And let's be real but when has NJ been considered the northeast??? ;D LMAO!!! ;D ;D

New Jersey is typically considered in the tri-state area (CT, NY, NJ) and that is considered to be the heart of the I-95 Northeast Corridor which runs from Baltimore up to Beantown. Others consider it to be Mid-Atlantic. Regardless, if you include Rob (who lives in South Jersey) then you have to include Marcio, who lives north of Rob in Kearney. Anyhow if you are talking New York and points north, you have to say Eric, though the last time I checked Selearis was two up on him. I love Rob and Eric and think they are both great pullers who are going to dominate in years to come. (Eric does dominate in New England). Rob is getting to freak-status though and I do believe he is knocking on Marcio's door so-to-speak. We'll know more when Rob moves up to north Jersey this coming year. I would definately like to see Rob and Eric pull 2 of 3. I think it would be a great match up. From what I hear, we may see it soon enough. Though with kite flying I would take Eric over Marcio and Rob. Reggie at top form will be able to pull with the best of them, though he will never be able to match Eric's ability to fly a kite or Rob's ability to hook up with hot chicks.

Hi Chris, What really started this question for me was just looking around local tournaments in the northeast and seeing who really dominated. Seems pretty clear to me that it would be Eric G. At least I haven't seen him lose right arm yet.....I'm sure that he has lost many times......I just haven't seen it yet. I have never seen Marcio B, or Reggie in a tournament. If they live in the northeast and are as good (or better) than Eric......why don't I ever see them compete? I'm not saying this to knock them, I'm just saying I wish I could actually see them pull at a tournament once in awhile. But as far as tournaments go, I have been going to quite a few throughout New England over the past few years, and I have never seen anyone give Eric a close match at all. But I have heard some amazing things about Rob Bigwood from alot of people..... I have never seen Travis Bagent at a tournament yet, but it seems clear that he would dominate the northeast pretty easily. But since I have never seen him come to a tournament in the northeast, I didn't think to include him. So I guess this is why I really only included Eric and Rob. But I am very curious to hear about these other people that I have not met yet (example: Reggie Ward). But from what I see as an avid New England tournmanet participant, its really between Eric and Rob....
But I could be wrong... ;D

OK I'm going to try again with another poll that should be more specific.........Rob or Eric?
But I would like to still hear who is the top dog in the northeast if it is not either of these two.....

In the Northeast ( Ct and up ), YES, Eric is .Below ( N.Y., N.J. ) NO. Plus EVERYONE IS STOPPABLE!!
James, Sorry but Bigwood Is no where near knocking on Marcios door! SORRY Rob.
Rob Bigwood, when are you coming up to North Jersey for some real Jersey practicing?...:-)....
Guys, you can't include Reggie,YET. Let him get back into the sport on a regular basis first.
Also, although Eric beat Paul Walther at the SOS in NYC 2 years ago, I believe Paul Walther is FINALLY back to his old self ( it only took 6 years..LOL..LMAO ). So I would love to see that rematch. Would be VERY interesting...
