This is my second year being a voting executive board member to the World Wrestwrestling Championship (WWC), and to the United States ArmSport (USA), and working with Dave Devoto on projected projects has been a priceless experience. If you go to the history page on his web site www.armwrestling.com you’ll see that he’s been in the sport longer that some of us have been alive. Founder of armwrestling.com and Arm TV, Dave has taking armwrestling, not too a new level, but too the next level, “World Wide Audience & Exposure” he’s done it before and he’s at it again. Armwrestling promoters have been doing a wonderful job exposing our sport and taking it too new levels, and being a promoter myself, you always watch the net from your return, that’s just business. Any person that’s been involved with an event knows the biggest expense is advisement & promotions (if it’s done right). When you throw in television broadcasting the $$$ amount exceeds what most people make in a year. The televised exposure is huge for the sport, and huge $$$ to produced. The ESPN2 National Championship broadcasting, that’s being televised, did not cost hundreds of $$$ it ran into the thousands of $$$$. Guess what!! Dave picked up the tab $ XX,XXX with out a sponsor, he won’t gloat over it and he sure the hell won’t get his return on it, if this does not displayed his love for our ARMWRESTLING SPORT, I don’t know what does. Thank you Dave Devoto, it’s my pleasure having you as my friend, my partner and my mentor. Anybody that feels the same let Dave know!!

Dave is the FATHER of armwrestling for 100%,i have all respect for him.i just cant explain my little but great experiences with him.i really dont think that i can explain how i see him with words.
once i was in the turkish team camp before we go to the egypt worlds in 98.the other WAF worlds was in canada and already finished.my friends were so curious about the results to guess who would come to the egypt worlds by thinking that armwrestlers who participated in canada wouldnt come to egypt.i just called Dave, and he faxed me pages of the results from USA.i knew he was a great man,but at that moment i realised that Dave didnt care about nothing but promoting and supporting armwrestlers without benefitting anything back.he is the father of armwrestling to me for sure.

i didnt mention materialistic value of the faxes that he has sent to me.he did this with a pleasure and by leaving everything he had to do at that moment.because i started receiving the faxes after some minutes.
think about it,we will have a Vegas tournament soon, which makes all armwrestlers around the world so excited.we all need this kind of events to keep our sport alive.
from other side Mazurenko is another great armwrestling promoter from europe.i believe that Dave and Igor are the best promoters in the world for armwrestling.
it seems like Sol is gonna be a great promoter for armwrestling too.he proved this by superstar show.its our duty to support this promoters to encourage them,as they all deserve.

Dave, I have not met you yet, but I see, through these guys, you are a great asset to this sport. In the short time I have been in this sport I haven't heard anything negative about you. If the people I hold in high regard hold you in high regard, then that has to stand for something!!!

Hello Bill, Thank you for sharing what you did with us. Many times the efforts of different promoters do go without acknowledgement and I would guess that Dave does not care whether or not he receives the acolades he deserves for what he has just done to produce this show for ESPN. Sir Dave... you have definitely shown your TRUE colors in regards to your love for the sport of armwrestling. Thank you so much for what you have just done and for your generous contribution towards making things happen! :DI know that many of us say "if we ever win the lottery, we'd run the biggest armwrestling event ever!"... well, it appears that you didn't wait to win the lottery, you have taken a leap of faith with your contribution in which your "return" may not necessarily be monetary, but rather a great satisfaction deep within knowing that you have done your very best for the sport. However, I do believe that it will pay off in the long run...for the sport and those involved with it. I am so looking forward to armwrestling in 2005- there are going to be many good things happening! ;D Again, thank you so much Dave! See you in April

It is my prayer that you will benefit monetarily and greatly. For your sacrifice. and for the benefit of the other armwrestliers.

Dave Devoto has always been a class act and this goes to show the heart of the man ( once more) and his dedication to armwrestling. It's because of people like Dave that armwrestling came out of the bars and onto TV. He is leading the charge once again. Haven't we all longed for the coverage of "Wide World of Sport", ESPN2 could end up being even better as time goes on. Just need that Saturday afternoon time slot! ;D

Chris you need to get that 138 weight out of your head, 132 or 143. Being a lightweight I would like to see them as much as anyone, but as we all know you have to start with the big guys because that is what the majority of the population wants to see. Once they get hooked on the sport then we all know the lightweights will steal the show. ;D
