Did anyone see this?
It was pretty good except for ken shamrocks match it was highly dissapointing a legendary fighter "accidentally slips" twice. It was rediculous. Looked like a dive to me. did anyone else feel the same way?

Yes and Yes. The light heavyweight was great. Those two guys just threw bombs for 15 mins. The Ken Shamrock match did look odd. Ken had a very good hold on the ankle and let it go then the two slips. The first slip if you watch in slow-mo looked like a total dive. Hope Ken didn't go Pete Rose on the UFC.

Forrest won. That was an awesome fight. The UFC did the right thing givng them both the contract they both deserved it.

yea that was awesome....except for the "main event"...which wasnt a third as exciting as forrest and stephan. I was pullin for Forrest to win, just cuz he is crazy and funny. But both of those guys did excellent and really battled it out. the middleweight fight was a joke, ju jistu boy never had a shot at beatin diego. im not the biggest fan of diego, but the other guy didnt have a chance. man, i forgot his name already. I think the two top contenders for the middleweight were diego sanchez and josh koscheck for sure.
And yes, I believe that both Forrest and Stephan both really deserved a contract. i got 20 bucks though that says Forrest sells that Scion for a truck in a heartbeat haha.

I have been thinking the exact same thing!!!!!! They pumped Shamrock all up "Worlds Most Dangerous Man" and all that other B.S. and he busted his ass??? What the hell is going on? I love Ken Shamrock, and I have been following him from day one. To me it looked as though it were a fixed. Don't think that Rich Franklin isn't bad though. You will see him fight some top named guys real soon. Tito Ortiz will end up getting his junk rocked again real soon too. Vitor vs. Tito will happen again in the future, and this time it will be made known for a 100% fact that Vitor is the winner.

Ryan Hey i watched the fight with shamrock and was also not happy with the outcome. What suprised me with the slip.. was this... I had never seen Ken the shoot fighter, even attempt to kick someone in the head, while standing up! Maybe i missed it before but to see him try for a High Kick, caused him to slip. What do you think?

I thought it was a horrible acting job. they should just wrestled or something and got in a bind where people couldnt see and him tap out, if he was gonna take dive that is.
That stephan guy threw some good high kicks. as tired as he was he had excellent footing. Then "The worlds most dangerous man" absolutly fresh attempt a high kick that wasnt even as complex as the other guy and busts his butt. ........TWICE........What a joke. That was obviously his "que" to hit him and he missed his "que" so he did it again.
I thought when that sport started out everyone liked it because it was real and raw not like proffessional wrestling. Whats the deal? Theyve buckled to popular opinoin. BUT as Ken said himself "thats the way the business goes.........a legend becomes a legend by beating a legend"

I totally agree Engin. Shamrock was missing that fire that burns inside in this fight, he should quit know while he's still legendary instead of becoming a washed up Goon like Tank Abbot. Yeah Randy Cotoure rocks as a fighter in his forties but I highly doubt Shamrock trains as hard as Cotoure does.

If shamrock is too old he needs to retire as one of the greats not punk out like he did.

Ryan,
What exactly looked fake? I watched the fight a couple of times now and it was a poor performace but certainly not fake.
Franklin is no joke and ken gave it a shot. He had nothing on the ankle lock, franklins foot was inverted and was in no danger, that's why ken let it go. He slipped on the high kick and got punched about 8 times.
I think Shamrock has too much pride to do a "worked" match on national tv

i dont believe that it was a fake match.if it was they would continue to fight longer.it was a real one and if the ref didnt stop the match Ken could be dead.he lost his guard and his head became a training thing for other guy.
