So here is the scoop: I had placed a bunch of calls in to the "Versus" television company and asked for them to consider airing an Armwrestling event "Super Match". I even offered to buy time on their network if need be to take the initial risk. A few days have gone by since my last call and this morning I get a call from Rebecca at Versus. She says "We are not interested in Armwrestling, we are looking for "Action Sports" like basketball, football, fighting and so on" I said are you kidding me? Have you ever even seen an Armwrestling match? She wouldnt even respond and just kept referring to Armwrestling not being an "Action Sport"! I wanted to reach across the phone and smack her upside her head! Anyways - Screw Versus! I won't be watching their crap anymore..... Post her email on the board and we'll flood her is vid clips |

Yeah I even offered to pay for the time and she said NO Thanks and had to rub it in one more time "Were looking for only Action Sports"! X-Arm was silly and did more to hurt our sport when it comes to TV then Over the Top did... Every time I approach a network that's the first damn thing they bring up! Some will, Some wont, So what, NEXT! Robert...I came close to having the Superstar Showdown II on spike..But again they were hesitant. But i felt like they were pretty close..also after many Email and phone calls!.. BTW..did you say in quote that "Over the top" HURT armwrestling?? I wasnt sure ?. Keep up the good work and effort.. |

Relax Guys, Opinions vary and always will people in Channels carosel frequently (both a blessing and a curse) BUT everything should be approached in a clearly thought out, strategic, professional manner and then who knows what can be achieved. A Scatter Gun approach is not the way, first pick the target, focus directly on IT, really understand what you are aiming for, remain calm, steady, collect your thoughts, try to anticipate any movements, settle again, FIRE  |
