Talked to a Heavyweight left hander last night. He hasn't pulled in years but was a pretty BAD DUDE when he did. Said that he has been keeping his hand and arm strong over the years. He hopes to do well. I won't list a name. Any guesses? He weighs about 265.

I think I read where Luke said yesterday that he will be coming. If so, yes he will pull this guy. I don't know if he has anything for Luke NOW, but back in the day, Luke would have his hands FULL. JMO.

Yep. I bet he is still pretty good. He said he will be 60 in a couple months. He'll win some matches for sure.

I remember my old training partner Jim Walkiewicz hurting John Ottarski's left arm at Nationals one year. Was that why he stopped? I dont think I saw him after that. He was fast for his size, hit Jim over, then Jim brought him over real fast an it hurt him it appeared.

Christian, Yes, he is given credit in one of the grip books as coming up with using a baseball with a hook on it to work grip. I've been doing that for years....then read the book...interesting,

I think he was the 2nd or 3rd man, at least "officially" to lift the Blob.

John has a difficult left to grip because he had broken his left hand which made it stick out if memory serves me correct between the index and the thumb area. I had not seen him since sometime in the 90s . Please tell him I said Hi Rick. If he comes to pull it might be a good idea to take him seriously at least out of respect. I have seen him pull well with quite a few heavyweights in the past. It is always nice to see older competitors come back to enjoy the sport again.
