Thanks a lot. Do you happen to have a picture of the tools you use? What brand of clay do you use? Once you have it done, Do you have to have a Kiln to harden the clay or is there another way to harden the clay?
Thanks in advance.
Great work.

Curtis- I dont know what the brand of clay is but it is air drying water based clay so you dont have to fire it in a kiln just let it set for about a week. as far as tools I found out that my fingers are the best tool for shapes but you can get wooden sticks and carving tools for detail work. just depends on how time you have to do it. this one took me more than a few hours to complete believe me. send me a personal message if you want more info on where to get supplies etc and I will be glad to help you in any way I can. starting a very "SPECIAL ONE" this weekend that will top this one for sure.

Thank you so much Mike. One more question, what is the size of the one in the pics that you just posted. Hight? width?

I just posted them as thumbnail pics after browsing. Actually, I meant.... what is the actual size of the sculpture itself? I just picked up some of this stuff, Do you think it will work fine? www.dickblick.com/zz305/38/

yeah that should work, although you should be able to find regular clay around 25 pounds for 20 bucks or so. check hobby lobby online. the sculpture is probably 10 or 11 inches high now after removing the head!let me know how youre progressing.

The hands turned out great, and I think they would be awesome awards at any event. Corey and I do some brain storming on creative projects and I think this one turned out good. Corey the only thing I would change would be longer wrists that come down to a iron or metal base of some sort have them suspended alittle higher than the base itself on rods. Maybe different colors also would make them unique from each other. Just some ideas man.
