What materials are you using to make this(what is it made out of) and where do you get those materials from?
What tools are you using?

My guess would be ceramic sculpting clay and various sculpting tools like knives and edgers. Hopefully Mike, you hollow out some of it before baking so it doesn't weigh a ton like the loggers do. LOL

Take these to a foundry, get them molded and cast these babies in Aluminum!!! These could be the best prizes of all time... well, second to an 18 wheeler I guess.

they are made out of regular clay and I use my fingers mostly with other shaping tools and brushes to smoth out sharp edges. John thats a good idea, I didnt know I could take to a foundry but will check into it man since they are pretty heavy. getting the molds made is the hardest part right now. I dont know about them being the best prizes of all time but I do know that this is the first one I have ever done and they will only get better now that I know what I am doing. I have all kinds of cool ideas for sculptures and am working on making one of mr brezenk that will be same type of shape as this one. glad you guys like it.

I took the head off today for reproduction purposes and when I find out how I am going to get them in a mold I will let you guys know. Josh send me a pm on date for your tourney and maybe if I cant get this one reproduced I can make a special one of a kind for your tourney. Looks like lots of folks are wanting something similiar to this one for their events. How do you guys post pics on this post so I dont have to keep starting another one for photos for sculpture?? not a computer wizard here!!

This year it is October 25th. It just happens to fall on the same weekend every year. The best way to remember it is when you turn your clocks back for daylight savings time, my tournament is that Sat. Thanks & best of luck with the casting.
