Rich has torn his bicep tendon that attaches into the Forearm near the elbow. He will be having surgery on Thursday and will be in a cast for about 4 weeks, then start rehab.
Please keep Rich and his family in you thoughts and prayers.

Thanks Bob for the update.
Healing takes time, but God can and does work wonders. We'll keep our big friend in our prayers.

Will Mr. Lupkes be healed in time to go to Worlds?
He will be in my prayers. I probably don't pray as often as I should, however.

All the very best with your recovery Richard.
Very sorry to hear of your injury mate and BELIEVE ME I know how bad it is suffering a serious injury in Armwrestling but you are a Warrior and you WILL come back mate.
Look at the others in our sport who have done the same from serious injury like Ron Bath a true American Warrior you can do the same mate.
Stay Strong Richard all the best with the surgery & your recovery

Man I hated reading this ... very sorry to hear that Rich. Mike and I are going thru it right now.
Speaking for myself ... with the Two (2) ruptures ... left arm then right at Nationals I can tell you that keeping a positive metal attitude is what is really helping me thru this (not to mention all the people here at this board!!!!) I am now allowed to do a little more with my 1st one (R) arm .. tues I get to start curling with weight of my choice for 30 reps sets. weight of my choice within reason.
So what I am saying is I am very excited about started to exit the not so fun part my healing process ... you will be there before you know it too!!!
You keep ur head up high and realize that so many people have so much less .... and no one or no thing can hold back a True Champion!!! And thats what you absolutely are .. I'm may be new but I seen your current videos and the ones in the past and know how to read. ... WOW
Tim

It looked to be a partial tear. Herman McCoy also pulled there with a partial tear.
