Why is the list so small? Where are all of the National Champions? Worlds are in Canada and there are only a few competitors who have responded to Bill Collins! Come on lets take the best we have and show the world what Team USA has!!

I was talking about this last year,How often do the national champions actually go to worlds? I think unifieds should be for the pullers who are serious about going to worlds!JMO

Guys I don't think this year is much different than any year prior, it is not easy to field this team.
Unless you have spent your own money to travel to this event, (not cheap) taken a week away from your family late in the year, (potential holiday season, Team USA was in South Africa over Thanksgiving that year) and subsequently committed months in advance to doing the above, maybe you just don't have the perspective to judge.
I know Willie has been down this path so he can attest that this is not as easy to commit to as some might think.
The USAF National Champion is just that, an event to determine who is the US National Champion, the fact that the top two placings qualify for the right to attend the worlds is completely separate, the USAF should never be seen as purely a trial to determine and create the USAF National Team for the WAF event, that kind of thinking only holds the event back and discredits the efforts of the pullers that compete there.
Should people go to the Worlds if they can?..... Absolutely... it is incredible to be in the presence of the largest event in the sport, with people from all over the world that love armwrestling as dearly as you do, if you think this may be your only chance, then do it.
There are 4 events still going that I don't think any puller should miss in their career.

The numbers will rise. Bill has been swamped with calls of "I am going" but he will not list them until he gets registration papers. For instance I was standing there when Lenny called Bill from our Nevada State. Putting together the team is a huge job and we are all lucky that Collins is doing it.

Well said, Simon!
Leonard, you are exactly right. Bill is doing a great job and we are thankful to have him! We also need to thank Bob and Tracy Brown!
