I jst got off the phone with MT and he told me that Ashley was undefeated with Caroline from Sweden. Ashley was undefeated, got a foul for intentional slip and then received a second foul-1 loss. She went back to the table and was pulling-seemed like a hard match and Ashley's arm broke! I think that that gave her a silver. Way to go! Keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Just got off the phone with Jeff Ames (her trainer/ coach) he wanted to have me let eveyone know about Ashley. Tonya beat me too, we in this area feel terrible!!! She has tons of talent and likely would've won right handed and won't be competing right.
Jeff wanted me to let everyone extend their condolences via text message (pm me for num bers). He wasn't sure if Ashley had cell service, so I have Joseph Cordova's # as well.
Keep her in your thoughts and prayers, she was at the hospital from what Jeff said.

I am soooooo very sad to hear this! Ashley is such a promising armwrestler and I'm sure she is just heartbroken right now since Thursday is the right arm competition! I know EXACTLY how she feels... going for the Gold and then your arm breaks! (Same Left arm... 17 years ago! Petaluma!) She is young, however, and I'm sure she will recover and make a comeback. Anthony... you're right, she IS impressive! We in Idaho had the privilege of watching her start her armwrestling "career" at the age of 5 or 6... she was a Champion from the first time she competed at our events! ;D (she's only 18 now) Ashley, if you are reading this... our hearts go out to you! We will also let Lance know what happened and I'm sure he'll be proud of you when he hears about your Silver medal. Give us a call when you get back from Canada. Love you much! Elaine

To watch her move into the finals with no problem it was horrible to watch her break her arm. They got her off the stage as fast as possible and got her in the ambulance mean while she has her normal BIG SMILE on her face with alligator tears pooring out. I got to talk to her as they were loading her up and the last thing she said was "I WILL BE BACK". God love her!
Everyone keep her in your prayers!

My heart goes out to Ashley...very sorry to hear the news. I have seen her pull at a couple events and she is extremely impressive on the table and is a very nice person to boot. I'm guessing she will do a "John Buxton" and come back stronger than before.

I just saw Ashley, She is back from the hospital. She did Spiral fracture her arm. The doctors said it should heal good.
She has a great spirit.
We will be passing a hat here at the Worlds to help her family pay for the Hospital bill.

Spiral = Surgery I hate when I hear doctors say the bone is in place and should heal... Of course it is it always goes back in place but rarely heals properly without surgery. I hope someone tells her this. She should get a second opinion.
Ashley The best of luck with a speedy recovery.
