Jake, I had a 65 fast back when I was 20, put about 15 grand in to it and auto crossed and dragged the heck out of it! I put the 68 shelby fiber glass kit on it, Ford grand turissmo 9 in rear end, and rear discs along with a 10:1 289 that I built along with a top loader 4 speed behind it and mcloed racing clutch to put the power down. I also installed a 6500rpm rev limiter so as to NEVER have to take my foot off the gas when draggin!!!! Pedal to the medal slammin gears was all i knew!!!
Been 13 years sinse I got rid of it and still hate myself for doing it!
I was born, raised and learned how to build cars with chevy's, but that stang changed my life!!! 65 Fastback's are my ALL TIME FAVORITE STREET ROD'S!!!

Yeah man, you make me jealous!! I had a 93' Cobra.. Man I loved that car. Did some small time stuff to it.. Nothing major, but got low 12's out of it after all was said and done. I am wanting a brand new one now. Very nice car Jake.
You do not win silver medals. You only lose gold ones.

13.2 was my fastest quarter mile outta my mini POWERHOUSE! I never ran more than a Holley 650 double pumper either! Oh and I put 3.73 gears in the back too along with replacing and moving the gas cap to a quick clip racing cap just behind where the shell met the driver side rear quarter. Im trying to dig up a picture but Im not sure I still have one
havent run this one at the track yet. Waiting on the turbo install. Cant wait!! Just looking to make 475-500 whp. Any more than that and its just not fun to drive on the street. Tried driving my buddies 1000+ HP Supra one time and had to change my diaper when i got done. Right now im geared up with 3.73s, ported/polished heads, TB, intake, headers, mild cam, full exhaust, full suspension with camber adjustment. Its fun.

NICE!!!!!!!! Im not as versed with the new stuff, if you are laying down that kinda power at the wheels is there a big jump in HP at the flywheel/torque converter like the old schools? Or because of new technology is it a more even transfer?

Mustangs is my all time favorite to jake. I got a 68 coupe im in the midst of rebuilding now. Its going to have a 289 stroked to a 331 motor with a top loader 4spd tranny, elect. water pump, fan to free up some horses. I cant wait. I imagine itll be around 400-500hp when i get done hopefully. Nice pic.
02s are nice in gt form. They have the "PI" setup and i think they are stock at 260Hp. My dream car is too have the 03 cobra. they are reasonable at $20,000 That engine is so over engineered its sickning! Curtis Im not sure what the exchange rate is but you should be able to find an 02 Gt from 7-10k Just keep in mind the T45 tranny is only good up to about 425whp and same with internals, and you will definitely want to get lower gears for it. 3.55- 4.10 depending on your driving situation and size of tires you will running

save money and buy a LS1 CAMARO!!! or FIREBIRD!!!! haha just crackin, i do prefer chevy, and personally i think the body style of the 02 mustangs are one of the ugliest ones. sorry...that's just my opinion. the 03 Cobra is an awesome car, just don't like how it looks. I like Jake's model years mustangs A LOT better, but the motors were only ok in those. and curtis you can't knock the new V6 stangs...they got same or more HP than the old 5.0's...althuogh so are many new V6's.
