The back pack has a nice spot on the front where you can see the embroidered arms really well.
All the duffle/gym bag types will have the arms on the top and are kind of covered up by the carrying strap.
I need to order tomorrow. Either way, they will be a Royal Blue maybe with Black or Gray accent.

Do you have a "Other" option?
I like the trophy with the world on the mans back that I seen at your house last year.

I'm a big fan of medals... But, I'm sure any awards you give will be quality as usual.

Good ideas guys. I've already advertised bags this year (Plus I promised Gary Kessler) so that's what I'll stick with. I really think that the backpack would be cool. It makes no difference to me as price wise they are about the same. I'll give it until tomorrow. If it is still a landslide I'll stick with the gym bags. If it gets close, I'm going with the backpack !! I will promise to go back to something different next year. The Strongmen that you are talking about are STUPID expensive. Seems like after tax and shipping they were like $50 - $60 a piece. I have to order exactly 60 so that puts a dent in the old pocket book. I may try it next year and just do them for 1st place in each class. I may can do medals for 2nd and 3rd as the custom medals are FAIRLY reasonably priced. Hope to see you guys in about a month.

BTW, when I say backpack, I actually mean more like a high school students book bag than a backpack like you would carry on a camping trip. Just seems to me that it would have more uses in everyday life. Easier to throw over one shoulder and carry in the airport or whatever. It will be slightly smaller therefore it won't hold as much stuff as the gym bag though.

Haven't really thought about it. We normally have a lot of entries and the tournament lasts forever. When we get finished we are usually ready to go and don't feel like doing an overall. It looks like #'s may be down this year so we may have time. I've REALLY got to be careful what I spend this go around with the FREE ENTRY fee deal I made. I have a feeling that what we take in is not going to come anywhere close to covering what I am going to be paying out. I may try to do something though. I am like everybody else. I love an overall to see who is the Best of the Best that day. Got any ideas on an award?

Rick The Gym bags are the best. You did promise me that you would have the bags but that don't mean I will win one of them but I will enter 6 to 10 classes to try

Rick if you decide to have one let me know and I will send you one of my sculptures (bust) free of charge. I know times are tough right now with funds for everyone and would like to help where I can with your event man.

rick are you going to have a overall award?? Mike, I have been thinking about the overall trophy. I would love to have one of your sculptures but I hate to just simply hand it over to Travis Bagent. as I am sure that he will win it. Well, him or Tim Bresnam at least or maybe David Randall. Anyway, as a little guy, I don't really love overalls because the little guy has zero chance to win under any format. I really want one of your sculptures though so I am trying to figure out another way to use it. Maybe a raffle to raise money for the tournament. This way we could actually PAY you for the bust and us keep whatever is left over. That's one idea. Are all your bust made one at the time? Once you have made one, can you reproduce another one much more quickly the second time around? What all do you have to choose from? The one of John Brzenk was awesome and the one with Cobra and Allen was off the hook as well. Would those be out there for sale or to use to raffle off? What would it cost for me to buy for myself some of these that you have already done? What would it cost me to get you to do one of my son and my daughter? I would be interested in those as well. I will try to call you tomorrow when I get out of the woods from hunting.

I have molds of the busts so reproduction isnt hard for those but the Brzenk and the allen/cobra pieces were one a kinds. would be much more difficult to reproduce those at an affordable price anyway since they take me about 40 to 50 hours to complete. I understand about the overall and the bigger guys always winning so maybe you could just have it at the registration table as a conversation piece then raffle it off to charity afterwards. I can do some sculpts of your kids if you like if you send me some pics, I can pm you a price and give you a good deal. I have done a wedding anniversary one of karen bean and her husband that turned out pretty nice as well as others. I am doing 70 of the busts for the canadian nationals next year so thats been taking up most of my time recently, and I should finish a kind of unique looking one of a armwrestler inspired by ryan espey this weekend if things work out right. I will post pics of that one for you guys to see on here as well. just let me know and again I want to help support get a grip so no charge on the sculpture.

Rick I could have sworn you won the overalls in South Carolina in 1998?
If you are worried about a lighter (littler is deceiving) Run them through the novice first. I will be there this year; backpack is fine I might try to get a set for the whole family.
