before all you guys talk bad about the 2009 ohio st championship you need to sit down and watch the film. Yeah there were some bad calls , but all tournaments have bad calls. We have the film and have watched it all , its is good to me . There could have been better calls but far as completly horrible calls i say not.We need to support sam and betty cooperon the real ohio st campionship . I dont care how many people says there not coming back i will still go as long as i am around here to make it.

Ray are you crazy? I was there. The video doesn't show a 1/4 of the bad calls and the rules that were not followed because of all the editing that was done. Anyone want a good laugh watch the table flop around in the overalls.

Thanks Bad calls happen. I know that. The problem I have was the refs weren't familar with any of the AAA rules. I just couldn't believe that a tournament that was so big and well known is now so unprofessional .

I want to know about the table top? Was that tile? And if you slipped the grip....did you smash your knuckles?

I thought ALL elbow pads were off-set now? This helps prevent Injury right?

I watched the film. Those tables were horrible. looked like the "eliminator" table I bought when I first got into the sport. What a joke... My kids' lego's set is more sturdy than those tables. Hopefully next year they get better tables and real refs for this event. Looks like it was a great turn out just need to resolve those 2 major issues IMO.

Ray I agree with you Sam and Betty would benefit from support. I see alot of people complaining but no one offering to offer any real help or solutions.(including myself) I think it is great that they even throw a tournament in the first place. Don't you make tables Frank? Is there any way you can get them one at cost?I would be willing to donate some money for the cause. I would have to believe the referee problem is going to be resolved before i did so thou. Just some thoughts.

I don't know why you guys keep bringing this up. This is how they do it there and it is not going to change. Including the tables. Either go and be prepared..........and quit bitching or don't go, either way no one has a right to complain because it has been this way for a long time. Frank was told the situation before he went but didn't believe it. So again it is buyer beware.

I think people keep bringing it up because the squeaky wheel usually gets the grease. Another question is if it bothers you that people keep bringing it up why do you continue to read the posts about the tournament? Armwrestlers are typically strong willed people and strong willed people tend to speak their minds weather people like it or not. I dont think " a right to complain " is in question. No disrespect to you Leonard. I think you are a great referee.

I think people are complaining because Arm Wrestling has made huge leaps and bounds lately and this OHIO Tournament sent it back a few years. Have you seen the video? I could show it to my wife and say "That's the 1989 OHIO Tournament" And she wouldn't say anything or disagree. Arm Wrestling is at a point where every mistake will send it back a few years. Arm Wrestling can't afford that.

Leonard what the hell are you talking about? I knew? I booked my tickets and all I heard was about the favoritism that is shown. I didn't hear about anything else. I don't know why you would even say that.
I do agree its been discussed enough. Its getting old. Seems like nothing will change

Dave I was there in 07 and have it on dvd, from what I can see you Doug were holding your own and there was a lot of pressure and something had to give I didnt see where the table was the problem. After that I was told that you wouldnt be able to use that arm again, I didnt see any problems at Ohio State.....great job and best of luck to you!!!
