I will get more info up on this later, I know for the open mens classes there are going to be 3 weight classes, 4 for novice
70kg, 100, 100+ Open & Left
70kg, 80, 90, 90+ for Novice
I think womens are going to be 70kg and 70+?
Not a huge tourny but would be closer for some of the guys who usually have to drive 9 hours south to get a tournament.

Yeah but I don't think most people will go to this tournament and the toproll tournament both since they are 2 days apart. But hey I might be at this with some Minnesota pullers, if I don't go to the toproll tournament.

If I go to the pulling John premier I'll probably stop in Kansas City for the toproll tournament on the way back if things work out that way, because I'd be driving through Kansas City anyways. If I don't go to PJ, I'll come here, it's okay if it's smaller, since I'm an amateur anyways and I could probably get more Minnesota pullers to come to this since it's closer.

It would be a good place to novice guys to go for sure, definatly will not draw the higher caliber and skill of guys that will be drawn to the toproll event. Plus its only 5.5 hours from the citites.

5 hours even according to mapquest, do you have any idea who the best 176 pounders will be by any chance? And do you know if a lot of the same guys pull novice and open? If I go I'm pretty sure I'll do novice, open right, and open left.

IF he shows there are a couple fellows that are decent. Heath McDonald is a pretty good lighter puller he did great at ROTN this year winning the open 165 right. A kid named Shaun Neppel who is awesome but never goes anywhere but local tournaments, and his brother who is only a lefty. Then a fellow named Lance Whitehill is decent but have not seen him around much. Then if he shows there is a fellow named Roger Nowatzke and he is pretty much B.A. but again he has not been seen recently.

sure why not, you are in the area. What time are you guys headed up this way? If you get around to it give me a call 712 435 9696, You guys can come and hang out at my place if you have no place to go and want to rest or go around see some things near Omaha. It is about a 50 min drive from my place to the tourny. There are alot of great restraunts in the Old Market and the World Of wheels Car show is in town..

Great little tourny as always. Sonny Larson was pretty dominate like always. He had one loss in the 100kg + right to Scott Lohmann. Sonny won the 100 and 100+ both left and right, Scott Lohmann took 2nd 100+ R/L Tom Dixon took 2nd in the 100 L/R, I believe he got 3rd in the 100+ R In the 80 right I think it was Brian Robling 1st in R/2nd L and Jim Larson 1st L/2nd R In the novice 80kg R it was Jeff Cerny, Cameron ?, Myself and Josh Handland in that order. Josh seemed pretty wore out from Toproll, what a trooper.
Here is some video of a few matches. Sorry I am biased to mostly filming my brother..
