The poll ended with an 11-9 vote in favor of Ryan.
Lets start off with this, both of these guys are great pullers and guys you should worry about suprising you at the table.
Thanks again to Don and the Toproll team, Great event to get down to. Alot of top notch pullers.
Here is the video.

Good matches!!! The last match didn't look like a pin though...That could be the angle of the camera though...
Fun to watch.. These guys will probably go back and forth alot over the years to come.

Good matches!!! The last match didn't look like a pin though...That could be the angle of the camera though... Fun to watch.. These guys will probably go back and forth alot over the years to come. The ref called it a parallel , I thought at the time is was a slip in losing position (which is still a "W") The ref was very fair it seemed when setting them up as well as making calls. It is more difficult for only one ref to catch everything though. If you watch the 4th match (around the 44 sec mark Ryan caught some good air when moving his elbow to abetter position for the pin. (I do not know that it would have changed the outcome if he had kept it down.) Definatly keep an eye on them, for the tournaments to come. They will get plenty of chances to hook up since they are not too far apart. (2hrs 45min) Mr Hirst, You had a great start, What happened?

WITH A SINGLE REF THE CAMERA CAN SEE EVERYTHING AND I DONT WANT FOULS DETERMINING THE OUT COME AS LONG AS THERE IS NO ABVIOUS FOULS THE MATCH GOES ON . THERE WERE SEVERAL ELBOW FOULS BUT NOTHING THAT CHANGE THE OUTCOME OF THE MATCHES.

exactly as i predicted it to be tom 3 ryan 2. very good matches it seems like when ryan gets him in a good hook tom is done, but tom is better off the go.

THERE WERE SEVERAL ELBOW FOULS BUT NOTHING THAT CHANGE THE OUTCOME OF THE MATCHES. I agree 100% like I said I do not believe that would have changed the outcome of that match. I would say that huge elbow foouls that gain a big advantage should be called, but the hops that happen from two powerful hits going into each other can be let go..

I think they are close competitors and everyone has an advantage in one position or anther. That is what makes these matchup so interesting to watch.

Sweet match-up very intense! Ryan's better in the straps. And yeah even if the last match wasn't parallel it was definitely a slip in a losing position so it doesn't really matter, Tom had it. Hey, I also voted 3-2 for Tom.

Is that the same kid Tom Davidson that pulls in the teen class? Uhmm no , his name is Tom Dixon and he has won the junior national title undefeated 2 years in a row. He placed 3rd in the 220 open in 07 unifieds and weighing 222 pulled a 5th in the 242 class in SLC unifieds '08. He has placed 6th and 2nd RH at worlds as well as 10th and 5th LH, and for anyone who claims the juniors class is not as hard, the juniors heavy class is 176+ In bulgaria he was the 2nd smallest in the class, most kids were 45-55 lbs heavier. The kid that won was almost 100lbs heavier and pulled the open heavy class placing 4th. The "kid" that took 1st from him in canada was about 45lbs heavier not fat either. For an 18yo he has made some amazing progress. He was unable to enter the novice classes since age 15. He was placing in the top 3 in mens open classes at that age as well. This boy has alot to gain if I could get him to hit the gym even once a week. He does not lift weights, or practice more than 2-3 times a month. So much potential is being wasted by him not commiting more time to training. His priorites are his Boosted Cobra > earning money > arm wrestling > girls, So far that last one has not been #1

Sorry for the wrong last name but this is the kid I was referring to. Why does he pull the teens class if he is capable of giving a guy like Ryan Clark a match like that. Sad

He will not be able to pull in the youth class at worlds this year. I highly suggest that ANY youth wanting to do well at Worlds be pulling in the opens of their weight class. If they can not then they will have a very hard time placing at Worlds. He will pull any teen class he can until he is too old to do so. What is so Sad about it? You mad because he can probably beat you ? He obviously didnt win his class at worlds.. he was only the 2nd best youth ..
