Well if u have been watching armtv especially the us open tournament and ussa nationals u might have notice that i have been massaging my right shoulder and been talking about it hurting a bit, well i finally went to doctor after having some pain lifting at work yesterday and found out i have a slight tear in my rotator cuff deltoid muscle. NOT GOOD. but its not horrible just going to have to take some time off and I'm on light duty at work. i believe the first sign i got was in Oregon. its started there and i thought i pulled a little hard or something, no big deal but after Tahoe i couldn't even do anything because of the swelling and pain i had so i rested all week before i went to work yesterday well, found out it wasn't enough. so i guess its left hand for awhile till i can get back to 100%.

Corey- sorry to hear that man....but you will be back in no time as long as you let it heal properly. I have had the shoulder problems, although not as severe as yours, and they can take sometime to get better. I always tweeked mine doing something at work that made it even longer so be careful. That left is pretty nasty too so you wont be bored!!

Just take some good drugs LOL, Actually Mike is right. Give it plenty of time to heal or it will keep bothering you for a long time.

It's a long life you have in front of you Corey. Take the time you need to heal it properly. Looking back 5 or even 20 years from now you will be glad you did.
Time off and rest is often underrated.

I feel your pain Bro! I had mine fixed in 98. Take my advice, you need to heal properly. Don't rush back into anything before you are ready. You are still young, and you have a lifetime ahead of you. Take the necessary time off with your right arm! you have an awesome left arm to play with for now. Best of luck to you.

Did they say if you would need surgery or not? If they say that you can heal it by resting, DO IT. Shoulder surgery sucks big time, and the rehab is even worse, trust me.

Shoulder surgery sucks big time, and the rehab is even worse, trust me. they say no surgery, it just a slight tear to the back delt muscle in the rotator cuff, im not really sure exactly what he was saying other than he said it was my rotator cuff and the deltoid muscle had a tear. he said about a month or so with pt and lots of rest and no lifting heavy up to like 20 pds. so its alot better than it sounds but it still sucks

Corey,
Let it heal and you should be fine.
I had a 80% tear before I went to World's in Britain, then tore it loose there. Took surgery and a year of rehab, but I made it back to the table.
Good luck with the recovery. The hardest part is staying off the table!

I feel you man as I too started having so much shoulder pain in my right arm in 91 when I first started training for a return to try try for a title in the YUKON JACK worlds. I was lucky not to have a tear though, instead I had a spur and an unbelivable amount of artritis and the doctor cleaned it all out and three months later I won a place in the YUKON JACK series and in 92 I won their worls that year. I will tell you that you will need to take a little more time with a tear but you will heal and alll your strength will return if you geve yourself proper healing time. Good luck and take care.

That's too bad Corey. I could see you didn't look yourself. I noticed you were tentative in your hit, even at the Oregon tourney. May GOD bless you with speedy recovery
