The beginning of May I decided I was gonna go "all out" on my PT test at work, instead of doing the minimum 9 push ups, 20 situps, and 12:30 1 mile run. I decided I would put a little extra into getting ready for it. Over the next 5 wks I did push ups and situps 5-6 times, ran outside 1 time and ran on my elliptical 4-5 times. I took my test 2 wks ago. My results were 75 push ups, 82 situps in 2 mins, 6:58 1 mile, and a 300 meter run in 49 secs. 10 others decided to push themselves besides myself, most early twenty somethings(most just getting out of the Army or Marines,or still reserve/NG), a couple in their forties, and one 53. One guy did 103 push ups yesterday and everyone was fired up(maybe because I've been talking $hit since I took the lead ;D) thinking it was over for me.......they were wrong. His situps and run lacked pizazz and it was total points for all events not just one. Needless to say they were a little disappointed once they realized their one last chance couldn't deliver. So I am just letting you know that I am the [glow=red,2,300][/glow]While not as impressive as a National Title or beating Cobra Rhodes on the table, its not bad for putting next to nothing into it and smoking everyone. They know for next year they're really toast, I'll be coming in well trained. Maybe hitting some of my old active duty #'s I'm at work with nothing going on so I thought I'd share my story

AAAAAAAAWWWWWWWW thanks guys my best was 72 pushups in less than a minute(stopped at 72, that was 100%) my max in situps(I think 88) and a 13:06 two mile. Good for a 299. I always maxed the pu and su, my run is what held me back from the perfect 300

I could hit 298, the run also stopped me from a perfect score...If I did the swim, perfect 300 every time

With your best 2 mile and 74 and 60, I would guess about a 270ish give or take a few, in the 22-27 age group. Your situps are "Behind the power curve". The PT test won't get you any wins on the table.........thats a fact!

Well duh just wondering what I would score though. I think I could get that 13:00 if I tried hard enough an I started training situps so I should be able to do the 80 pretty soon. Pushups I have had those to 110 before. I am concentrating more on the table at the moment than anything else trying to keep my weight around 176 barely was able to get it past 170 lately.

One of the complaints I always had with the PFA, was the max out numbers ( 100 s/u's, 67 p/u's, 8:10 in the run). I could do way more than 67 p/u's, and easily get 100 s/u's, but no points for them...As for the run, 1.5 miles in 8:32 was it for me At dive school, we did PT level tests each week for 13 weeks, with no limits in the 2 min exercises. Much better assessment!

Yeah the runs can get kinda hard I mean the perfect score in the marines 3 mile run is 18 mins thats 6 flat a mile for 3 miles I mean not a whole lot of people can get that good. I think I could if I trained running hard enough.

Yeppers, and 8:10 for a mile and a half ispretty durn fast too. I was a sprinter/field event guy in HS, going to the State meet in the 100, the Long Jump and the Triple Jump...Not exactly a distance guy. 2:02 was my fastest 800 meter run...Not in contention
