The best arm wrestlers don't go around calling people out. People set up super matches between the best arm wrestlers because they want to see them pull. Wayne Burns back in the day knew the best in his class was Jack Sanders ( a great man) and chased him all over the country until he finally beat him.. Calling someone out and saying come pull me is a joke and makes you look stupid. The best are not going to come to you. You have to go to them. I love Robs attitude. He is a real power house with attitude. And has the right to be cocky, I was there and watched him win the most stacked 198lb class I have ever seen. If someone wants to knock him down a notch. I am sure he will tell you where he will be next and you can pull him. But he isn't going to chase them all over the country. Luke is starting to believe in himself. And wants to prove it, And the best way to prove it is show up where the best are and pull them. Basically calling someone out is not the way to earn respect. Travel and compete at the big events. And beat the best there is how you earn everyones respect.

I think when we get to the point that the TV viewers are watching us on Saturday monrning in our knee-high white boots and spandex pants then the trash talking will build excitement. Right now we're only talking to ourselves.
If we want to begin building ourselves up as characters then it would make sense. That's why we need an invitation only Pro league to drive that small segment of the sport. The sport as we know it isn't going to be that...ever. JMO.

It was going good until the lack of spectator support and sponsorship declined. It's a hard thing to do and I give Travis a lot of respect for at least trying.

Maybe if the tournaments we're different.......say instead of one person trying to win it all, make teams out of it. If I didn't armwrestle I could see how boring it really is to watch. There needs to be something different to attract a market for the sport. IMO it needs to be more exclusive to new pullers. Nobody should be able to walk off the street and pull a veteran without going thru the chain like most professional sports (boxing, golf, etc.). Very unprofessional. I couldn't just go to WBC and set up a fight with a top contender. There needs to be more politics involved in the sport, this sport has have the worst ranking system known to man. No one really knows who's the best half the time. It changes like the weather, and everybody has to pay out of there own pocket (another reason it doesn't seem professional). I'd hate to be a decent ball player or boxer and have to pay out of my pocket to play or fight. Something needs to change. It needs to be on cable or satellite TV like every other sport. Unless new structure is applied to the sport, it will remain nothing more than a hobby with a little recognition to the sheltered armwrestling world.
