John Shaw has been around a long time Kopa. We know that he was absolutely fine in that position.

Ok...so here we go again...rules apply to some but not all?...we can go round all day...use rules for everyone or use em for no one...wonder if they would call that at nationals or worlds? Even if it is John Shaw or Bill Sinks...i bet they would. And im a big sinks fan.

If it's the call you have a problem with than fine. As far as Shaw though he got in that position in a strap in two seperate matches Saturday and said he feels strongest in that position. He won both the matches so I'm inclined to believe he knows his strengths and limitations.

So according to Mr Darby when each armwrestler gets to the table he or she should tell the ref where they feel the strongest and what to call and what not to call. It makes no difference if its john shaw, bill sinks, john brzenk, michael todd, kyle darby or whoever..bones can break..ANYONES bone...thats why there are rules...do any of you actually think that wouldnt get called at nationals or worlds? If you do your a freakin idiot

I'm not going to go into great detail of why I Agree with Justin, but I am on his side on this. NO ONE should be allowed to Pull in a Break Arm Position ! PERIOD ! It's not fair to make your opponent fight you knowing your in a break arm position. Yeah Bill Sinks and some others mentioned are known for this but it doesn't make it right in my opinion.
Now , I respect Bill Sinks and have no Dis Respect towards any of these guys it's just something I have thought a little about in the past and now someone has brought it up.

Good, bad, or indifferent it was still an amazing match let's try not to pollute the highlighted issue by arm chair quarterbacking. John is a stud and won a very tough match against an up and coming stallion. JMO

"Arm Chair Quarterback" That's Funny, but yeah that was a great match, I was the first to post earlier on Arm TV that it was a great match so I wasn't even thinking about the Arm Break when I watched it the first time. I'll stop being an Arm Break Inspector now LOL !

Yeah, it's tough territory to make that call on pro pullers, I'll give you guys that. I always end up feeling sorry for the refs beacuse you have 9,000 different opinions vs. your one call. I called a very minor elbow foul on Shawn Kirkpatrick once, and it wasn't thought very well of. Granted, break-arm is different than fouls, but my main point is that the refs have a tough job no matter what the situation is (while the world watches).

If you do your a freakin idiot Agree 1000%!!! I've talked about how this is BS quite a few times on here. It always ended up with me asking the question, "If Cobra, Michael Todd, Denis Dubreil (sp?), or Bill Sinks did break their arm, would the refs' opinions change?" Usually never got a response. As I've said before, I think there has to be a serious advantage being able to pull in this position. Otherwise, why would all these Legends pull that way? Especially when the majority of the time they are pulling this way from a losing position?
