Who are the absolute best this country has to offer in each class? If they started training right now and can make the weight by Unifieds. Pick 2 right and 2 left for each class. Senior Men's Only. Right Left 121 Joseph Cordova Joseph Cordova 132 Vazgen Soghoyan Brad Spine 143 Corey Miller, Rick Soliwada Rick Soliwada, Corey Miller 154 Brandon Dye, Roger Nowatzke RJ Molinere, Ethan Fritsche 165 Luke Kindt, Allen Fisher Luke Kindt, Matt Harris 176 Kevin Bongard, Simon B. Kevin Bongard, Angel Cosme 187 Mike Selearis, Chad Silvers Mike Selearis, Steve Rau 198 John Brzenk, Brent Rakers John Brzenk, Chris Chandler 220 Georgi G., RVJ Tom Nelson, Georgi G. 242 Ron Bath, Michael Todd Michael Todd, 243+ Jerry Cadorette, Travis Bagent Travis Bagent, Christian B.
These are my picks, can't really think of too many that aren't pulling right now. It will be interesting to hear about some pullers who aren't currently active; like a Kevin Bongard, who could be a World contender with a couple months of training. Who's your picks?

One other question, I'd really like to hear from Simon and Engin on this one. Who do we have in the U.S. that is capable of winning a Gold Medal at Worlds in any weight class? (Senior Class) For example, Vazgen has already proven he can win several at 65kg right hand.

Ron Bath is definitely capable on your list as is John B, but I doubt if you would see him pull at a worlds. It is hard to know about RVJ because we haven't seen him for a while, but if he's not there he's close if is still training the way he was. Both Jerry and Travis have proved in the past they are capable, and someone would definitely have to prove otherwise to me that if he is being serious Travis is definitely the best left hander in the world period! Ryan Clark might be on my list as his style seemed to match up well with the European pullers, which would be my picks rather than how they would match up with each other I'm not Simon or Engin, but I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in anyway

I think your list looks good..............can Tom Nelson make 220 ?.......if not Rob Bigwood or myself is in it and Tom would be in 242.
I think the number 1 in most of the classes on this list can realisticly win a gold, some of them are obvious , but I believe if we actually put our best pullers out there we stand a good chance.

I believe I can realisticly win 220, with that being said, I won't be competing at worlds because of neil's event.............maybe he can set me up with an established 220 waf badass to give my claims some credibility.

It would be great to see all those guys in those weight classes but I dont think Corey or Brandon will be in those classes and John B and Kevin B probably wont pull at the Worlds.

Yea, Worlds is not easy! Rick Soliwada is a super puller with tons of National Titles but no Gold. He is so good at his weight its hard to understand how he can be beat, but they beat him. Its kind of scary how strong Rick is, I cant understand how good those guys must be. Im getting one though

Winning at Worlds is a lot more than being good, it also requires experience pulling in that format, and what I mean is imagine a class loaded with top people from dozens of countries and you know nothing about most of them, you don’t know how they pull, where they go where they are strong and if there are any weaknesses that they might have.
Styles not only make fights but you have to be experienced enough to figure out very quickly how to pull the guy across from you and there is not a lot of room for mistakes at this level.
Now as far as people able to win…. This is a bit tricky because as people already know not all of the best pullers can get into the US for this event at least historically that has proven to be the case, so though it may still have top world guys there the classes may not be as deep. Just being honest not trying to undermine anyone’s future performace.
John and Ron can pick their spots in my opinion and win gold as long as they don’t both choose the same spot.
Certainly Vagzen should win, he made some mistakes that cost him the gold last year at 143, he should go back down to 132 if it is possible for him not because he could not win at 143 but he is young, stay down as long as you can you will grow old and heavy soon enough.
Rick Soliwada at 143, this guy has finished in the money many times at the WAF events, I think if he were to pull the 143 class of last year he would have had a shot for sure.
I would say again due to experience and style at 165 Devin Bair is very dangerous lefty, he has a ton of WAF experience and has too finished in the money previously.
In the 187 198 range there are a host of guys that have a shot here, Chad is strong and technically brilliant, Selearis has the experience and the smarts to work through a class like that, Brent is very strong diverse and capable, Rau is crazy strong and again a guy with a ton of experience pulling at this level, he has finished in the money many times. You have to consider in this space you have Ruslan, Lubo and Arsen, that is some pretty rough country there.
Chandler has a ton of WAF experience and it is hard to imagine how strong he might be cutting down to 220. Todd again a ton of heart and experience, all the guy need is the chance and things can go his way.
In the heavies there are not a lot of heavily technical supers in the world, which makes Travis very dangerous, now there is a ton of power in the opens and Jerry Cadorette is power, I am not sure how the relatively power focused supers respond to his kind of pressure without a good plan on how to get out from underneath it. Though I think Jerry is doing Neil's event is he not?

Being brutally honest, if the same pullers and the same countries attend the www.2010usaworlds.com (from the past worlds), I'm seeing about 8 potential gold winners and that's everyone showed up on that list.
