Arnold Classic Ronnie Coleman Classic Mike Gould Classic
I'm wondering what does it take to make John Brzenk Classic in the sport of armwrestling.
I honestly don't fully understand the term "classic" at the end of sportman/woman's name indicating a sport festival but it seems to me that if someone achieved something great and extraordinary, OOO's classic is founded to remember their contribution/dedication.
I assume that this issue might have been discussed before I joined the board, but would like to bring the quetion up one more time. John Brzenk has an world-wide reputation and what he has done for armwrestling deserves the term "classic" (Of course, there are a few more people who deserve classics following their names, but let's talk about John Brzenk first.)
So, what does it take to have John Brzenk Classic? Do WE (or does anyone) have plan for this while he is in this sport?

I am glad and surely appreciate Arnold Classic and Ronnie Coleman Classic for having AW tournaments as part of their shows. But I hope someday John Brzenk Classic can offer Strongman, Grip, etc shows in the show named by himself. I am well aware of that this is not going to happen anytime soon, but based on what is being done for the sport of armwrestling, especially by the UAL, ArmWars, ArmTV, Todd King and James' support for international armwrestlers, and so on, I started believing that this can be done in my generation.

I would assume an event with this name would most likely need to be located in salt lake city, Utah.
Utah is in my opinion the nations most beautiful state. And from the little bit I've seen of Idaho I'd say it's a close second.

I think a yearly pilgrimage to an event called The John Brzenk Classic would be on everyone's list. I think people would travel miles and miles just to show their respect for the man.
I would love to see this happen and I'm sure it would become very prestigious from year one. It seems appropriate that there is an event to honor the man. I hope he has a desire to do so. I think it would be awesome and I'd for sure grab a t-shirt, photo, dvd, autograph, hoodie.. whatever was for sale and be glad to pay for it.
Do it John!!!

Yeah, John Brzenk Challenge was back in '04. I'm still unsure if there was a cause or if he put that one on himself or what. Haha. But it was cool to watch. They have a little bit of footage from it on the DVD Extras of Pulling John. There's some footage of it on MyArmTV I believe as well.

means John B should be the organiser or someone should start an event in the name John Brzenk classic? I'm sure that someone simply can't start John Brzenk Classic. I believe that John's presence and endorsement are necessary to call a certain show or tournament John Brzenk Classic.
