Wow who ever says its cheat must not be a well rounded puller .... it mostly happens to me if ever in the straps but if someone starts taking my wrist ill be quick to commit and flop a bitch ... im here to win and it is effective as i found pulling john wilson which i could beat him all day with a top roll but one time he really committed to the flop and my hand was more or less so upside down it was almost facing his pin pad and found myself pulling with a muscle ive never trained needless to say i lost that match ....bottom line its a style just as much as a hook or a toproll so yall beast like ryan and jerry please carry on ... very intertaining I was going to use that very same match as an example .. I knew I couldn't match Danial's speed and he kills me on the hit. I went to the strap so I could make it an arm match. On the go I dumped my wrist to give me the one second I needed to get behind my arm. The flop is an ace in the hole sometimes. It can give you the fraction of a second you need to get to your power. I'm no speed demon, but I knew I use dumbbells that weigh as much as Danial, LOL.

I would like to pose another question on this topic. If you roll out on your opponent and take his/her hand, is it acceptable for you to assume that your opponent should then just lay down and concede defeat? The answer to this question is obvious. If you are going to go outside you had better grip up properly and apply enough side pressure to finish the match. No submission, no surrender. I have never been a fan of the flop wrist press, reason being that it basically is using an armbreak position as a defense to keeping a stronger(in most cases) puller from pinning you how ever Ryan's analogy is the best I've ever heard of why people flop and why it is as legit as any other style, well said Ryan

^ I agree, I'm not a fan of floppin' but whatever it takes to win.

flop wrist is flowerbed crap. I have been doing it recently in certain matches, and will never do it again. Not only does it hurt like hell on the elbow but its ugly and very rarely effective. IMO

Certain people its very effective. Not everyone can do it. Just like some hookers cant roll. Or rollers cant hook

Flopping your wrist is a tool. If you're just going limp and and hoping for the best that is not the same thing. Its not effective at any rate. That's a good way to get hurt.
