I was just curious what peoples thoughts were on floppin. To me it works against certain styles and i think u should do anything within the rules to win. Im sure everyones opinion will b different but lets hear it.

I usually see only amateurs flopping their wrist in order to not lose. Speaking about a pro (active armwrestler) dead wrist pressing, that doesn't work for everybody against everybody. For example, i can't dead wrist press people unless they are far less powerfull tham me... Another thing is the fact that the guy that tought me how to armwrestle always said that one shouldn't lose his hand control and thus, his wrist.

There's more than one way to slice a pie...either way it's sliced..it's gonna get eaten....flop wrist is very effective and should not be patronized....I can patronize a hook when its a parallel pin and both competitors are neutral except for wrist.. that's surely not arm wrestling but wrist wrestling

My teammate Chris Futhey (God rest his soul) taught me the "Futhey Flop" many years ago. The move falls within specified rules and is certainly not cheap (Chris used it a lot and was very respected) and it has helped me a lot over the years. It only works in certain situations though.

I would like to pose another question on this topic. If you roll out on your opponent and take his/her hand, is it acceptable for you to assume that your opponent should then just lay down and concede defeat? The answer to this question is obvious. If you are going to go outside you had better grip up properly and apply enough side pressure to finish the match. No submission, no surrender.

And in the 70s when armwrestlers couldn't defeat shoulder rollers or hookers, they created a move to defeat them, that would eventually be called TOPROLLING!

Wow who ever says its cheat must not be a well rounded puller .... it mostly happens to me if ever in the straps but if someone starts taking my wrist ill be quick to commit and flop a bitch ... im here to win and it is effective as i found pulling john wilson which i could beat him all day with a top roll but one time he really committed to the flop and my hand was more or less so upside down it was almost facing his pin pad and found myself pulling with a muscle ive never trained needless to say i lost that match ....bottom line its a style just as much as a hook or a toproll so yall beast like ryan and jerry please carry on ... very intertaining

Yea. I kinda agree. But there are people that r about to loose. And they flop their wrist on purpose basically not to loose right away. But ive also seen people come back from that situation
