I don't know everyone feels about this butr I'll ask anyway. do alot of you guys/gals think it's smart to do a tournament & a supermatch in the same day? I feel on the fence. I went to the Feezor Classic in January pulled everyone in my class (15 I think). I was a little sore but ok. Then this past weekend I had TWO supermatches & pulled in a tournament none the less & feel mega sore! What's puller opinoin on this one? Chocolate Thunder over & out.

Jody, my feelings on this are tournaments should be a stepping stone to Supermatches... i will explain.....in every tournament ANYONE can compete...anyone!! they can be amatuer or pro.....pretty simple to enter this sport..... Now what i feel should happen.................. in each State, there should be the normal events that go on all year round....the first place winners of each event for that stae will be thrown in a hat....every 6 months that hat will be poured out and all the first place winners will be matched up with an equal opponent in their weight class...thus we have created a legit badd ass 2 times a year Supermatch only event.. ....this is my dream and hopefully it becomes a reality in every state....and as it grows, we can combine all of the states together and once a year have a full blown UNITED STATES SUPERMATCH EVENT.... It is very possible if done right.....but starting in each state and getting money and sponsors to make it worth it to the guys pulling, that will be the only hard part....and that part is already taken care of...so on to step 2

Re: tourney and SM same day?
Yes, if your arm can take it. Be careful if you're concerned about rankings though. You may lose enough off your arm/wrist to lose to people you should or normally beat.
For overall development as a fairly new armwrestler.. I say do as much as you can. I like to pull multiple classes to grip up with as many as possible. It's good to get SM experience as well, it's a different animal.
Do it all Mr. Thunder

ok, i read your thread wrong Jody...lol....... i feel its a bad idea to pull a tournament and a supermatch in the same day... just look at the footage from me and Tim Lewis...that will explain it all... both me and Tim pulled left and right in the tournament on saturday, and on sunday morning we pulled out supermatch....i will never do that again.....i will pull the supermatch FIRST...then pull the tournament.... and whats with this new nickname? ? what happened to sexual chocolate??? dont try and church it up....you are sexual chocolate.....accept it

Mac, the original nickname was Chocolate Thunder & you said wrong at Feezor (Sexual Chocolate) it did have a ring to it. So with that being said you guys/gals can call me Chocolate Thunder or Sexual Chocolate. I like them both over & out.

I feel at this point in the game Jody pull both. Get that experience. Like Mr. Milne said once your ranked then just focus on your supermatch so your not dropping rank by losing to pullers in the tourney. For example Chad pulled Brandon in the supermatch last weekend and (anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong) didnt pull in the tourney. I have seen many top pullers at tournaments just to pull in the supermatch. Sexual Chocolate Thunder is the man!

Elite level pullers--supermatch only
Everybody else--pull both (unless you arm is completely fried and won't take it)
chances are you traveled a great distance to pull a supermatch, make the most of the time there. Focus on your supermatch, but pull the tournament anyway to get more experience and pull different guys.
I am willing to take a loss to someone I would "normally" beat if in return I got a few matches against some guys I never pulled before. I don't look at final placing as an indication of how I did anymore.
I look at who I beat, who I didn't beat and all the circumstances surrounding the matches.
The only place placing really matters is at an event like nationals or an arnold qualifier where your goal is to try to reach a certain place.

Tim I agree with what you've wrote but was just wondering why you chose a different answer for elite pullers.

I'm on the same page as John Milne. I think Tim's answer is perfect without the qualifier for elite pullers.
It's just opinion though and Tim is entitled to his.
I'm one who cares zero about rankings. All I will ever remember when I'm done in the sport is the great matches I had along the way. I don't care who can say they beat me. That's a line with no end in sight.
