hahaha i see how you used very good wood. when i made it i used some piece of crap OSB 7/32 cuz im CHEAP! again, incredibly nice table. i did the same thing for the handles as you, im always curious as to what other things i can use...

thanks chris. the frame is actually one i got off those tables from the "armwrestling tables.com" site we all know to well. it originally comes with top cross support bars that connect in a way which totally runs against your upper thigh, and prevent you from really planting your hip/ body against the table top. i just removed them, split the difference, and used one to make the connection under the table in the middle. that way the support is still there, but you have more leverage and range under the table top.
as far as the wood, yes, that was probably the single most expensive part. right at $50 for a 4x8 sheet of top notch lumber, because i wanted 2 layers thick of heavy duty 3/4" . i was actually surprised at how cheap rest of it was. if a man had a source at a lumber yard and bought bulk hardware wholesale, he could turn few coins from time to time. i myself could easily pump out at least 3 of these table tops each day if there was a high enough demand. and if i knew how to weld, it'd be on for sure. target, big 5 and sports authority would be pushing these for $99.99.
thanks for watching!

Nice Kyle, I have the same table and did the same thing and redid the table top. I really would like to make it up there and practice with you guys.
